Support4Physio Oppo: Rib Belt (Women) Op4074 Regular

I don't know how I missed the reviews, but this is insanely small. I don't have a big ribcage either, measures 34". This thing measures 30"!! Who is this for, a child? If you have a broken or bruised rib, stay away from this if you're not size zero because you will break a few more ribs trying to get this to close. It hurt to even try and made me shriek. Not a good thing. And to top it off, I tried to return it and was informed it was NOT RETURNABLE. It did not say that on the page anywhere when I purchased it. Luckily, Amazon came to the rescue, as they always do when I need them, and refunded my money. If I see a tiny person with a broken rib, I will give it to them. There is no way on this earth I can possibly make use of it. It's a shame because it IS well made, actually, even a better design than the one I ended up keeping. It's firm, padded on both sides (the one I got from the hospital was elastic on one side, foam on the other. do it was not for both sides at once.) I'm so very disappointed. I don't even see a larger size to buy or I might have tried it.

Unable to properly rate this item. The item was too small but was non returnable so did not reorder. The Rib Belt was well made and appeared to be perfect for fractured ribs.

I searched on here for over an hour for a good rib brace, that I could get delivered quickly. They just do not sell them in regular pharmacies. I weighed out the pro's and cons, and decided on this one. It was delivered today- Well, I can say that it will definately hold my ribs in place, but I won't be able to breath too well! My ribcage measures at 37". this is supposed to fit up to 39 1/2 ". I had to stretch it so hard to even get it to close at the minimum length. Not an easy task with the amount of pain I am already in. I am really torn on whether to keep it and "hope" it stretches a little more, or try another style. I know that we need it a little tight to give the support, but it shouldn't be painful to stretch it to close it!

In the past, I had bronchitis and coughed so much that my both sides of my ribs ached. However, this round of bronchitis felt different. I pulled my rib muscle from coughing so hard that the muscle in front of my left rib bulged out (my right side was normal). I was in constant pain for 2 weeks before seeing the doctor. Every time I coughed, I had to push down on the muscle in order to brace for the sharp pain.I wanted to save $8.00 by ordering thru this vendor instead of the vendor who could have sent it in 2 days (via Amazon Prime). I'm okay with this vendor. The item came in a box in a bag, but the vendor did not include an invoice in case I needed to return it for any reason. As it was my decision, I received the belt after a week (vendor uses US Postal Service or USPS) and by that time my pain had already lessened. However, I'm still wearing the belt because putting the pressure on the ribs helps and I don't have to hold the pained muscle when I cough.The belt has a Velcro front that overlaps about 2 inches in the front. The front 2 sides are foam padded, and is sewn to join a one piece horizontal stripes of elastic in the back (hard to describe the elastic). The transition of the 2 materials does not scratch the skin. The elastic is pretty strong and doesn't give easily so that it will put pressure on the ribs. The dip in the front of the belt is perfect for women's body and doesn't interfere with the breasts. The fabric is soft so that it doesn't chafe the skin should you decide to wear it underneath clothing ... and you can wear it over (not too thick) clothing.One more great thing about this product is that I can insert a heated gel pack (not too thick) and have the belt hold it in place to help relax the muscle. The belt holds my heated gel pack so that I can go about and do what I need to do without being restricted to being near a plug by using a traditional heating pad.

Works well. Doesnt do the rolling up thing that other rib belts do. Comfortable

Good quality, but item runs very small. Unusable for me.
