honest truth , i wouldnt recommend getting it! The pump dies every 5 minutes or so and leaks ! i would say go with something else

Q: Does this pump run continuously when operated or does it operate intermittently?

Pump will run until it gets to hot, for me I can get an average of about 30-38 gallons before the pump turns itself off too cool. I usually unplug it then come back later, never tried to leave as is to see if the pump comes on when cooled down. Hotter or cooler air temperature will affect how fast its heats up I would think, I'm at 5,000+ ft in elevation.

also was not the same pump as pictured, not ...

also was not the same pump as pictured , not the hydrologic but aquadect or different name brand . pump shuts off every 3-4 minutes and you have to unplug and plug it back in . will not recommend this
