Perfect for my hair salon
This is the best seat ever… I’m very tall and as a hairdresser it helps a lot at my salon! Easy assembly and very comfortable. Seems heavy duty and resistant.

Perfect for petite people!
It takes some getting used to, just like giving your body some time to re-adjust to the discomfort that comes from riding a bike after your haven’t for awhile, but it is so worth it.I use the chair for sitting in an office job for hours, and the strange feeling of the chair does encourage me to stand and change positions every once in awhile, which is a good thing for me.I am a 5’2” female, and I have always have issues with the seat of chairs being too deep and preventing my feet from touching the ground. That cause my back to not be supported. This chair is perfect for short or petite people. My feet are firmly planted and my posture is excellent now. I stopped having lower back and shoulder and neck pain. Now I just have a little soreness in my glutes and quads because they are getting a workout without thinking. That’s a win for me!The only downside I perceive is the strange look of the chair. Socially, in my work space, this might seem strange, but people will get used to it over time. It works well for underneath a desk where people can’t see your legs.I highly recommend this chair for petite people! I think it will be an excellent long term purchase for my posture and overall health.

So happy with this now!
So I almost returned it, thank goodness I didn’t. When I got the chair I was really impressed because it’s such a nice chair, well made and super sturdy, it rolls like a dream. I hadn’t quite got my desk made so I was trying to use it at my dining room table (for doing nails) and it was just too tall. I was super disappointed and started a return on it. I got my desk done and installed at my shop, and was noticing my old chair was just a tad too short, so I took the saddle stool down and low and behold, it’s perfect! And the best part is, I can get up after sitting 2 hours to do a set of art nails, and be able to walk without the hip pain I normally have after sitting that long in an office chair. So if you are trying to use this at a desk, the desk top needs to be at least 32” for it to work comfortably. If you can work with that, this is a really nice, really sturdy and really comfortable chair that can help alleviate hip and back pain.

Fulfilled most of my needs
I am an older lady who is only 5' tall and am unable to stand for long periods of time. I purchased the stool to assist me in the kitchen - at the stove, meal prep (chopping vegetables, etc.) and at the sink. The saddle configuration of the seat keeps my knees out of harm's way and allows me to place myself close to the work area. The seat could be a bit more comfortable, but I am grateful that the stool allows me to do tasks I was unable to do before I owned it. The stool helps with all of these. I am also able to navigate in the kitchen, on a ceramic tile floor, by holding onto the counter or stove and pulling myself along. That doesn't feel completely safe, but it works. My kitchen is a galley type, so counters are always in reach. I would have a problem in a larger kitchen. Mounting the stool stool when it is at its lowest position is not difficult. Dismounting, however, is problematic. Since I am a short person, I can't reach the floor with my feet when the stool is at a height necessary for me to work in the kitchen. I have to hold onto the counter, pull on the hydraulic handle and "push" myself down. This is inconvenient if I need to dismount while cooking to retrieve something from my cupboard or access the above-stove microwave. A bar or "stirrup" of some sort would, I think alleviate this problem. I had another problem: when I unthinkingly dismounted the stool when it was at a high position ("jumped" down). It was extremely difficult to get enough weight on the seat for the hydraulic lever to engage.

High quality, horrible to sit in.
I have a pinched nerve in my spine, but I have a desk job. Over the past few years I've been working with my doctors to treat the pain, and a big part of that is good posture and ergonomic products (sit/stand deck, ergo keyboard and mouse, etc). I got this stool because my sit/stand is higher than a regular desk, and I thought the saddle seat would encourage good posture. It definitely does all those things! It's also VERY well made. Solid metal components and very easy to assemble. Casters roll smoothly, even on carpet. Please refer to pics: product description in regard to height is inaccurate. Stool height with fully extended piston is more like 28 inches (not 29.5 as advertised). You also loose an inch or two when you sit down (normal compression), so you're really at 26-27.Most importantly: this chair is REALLY uncomfortable to sit in.I realize that is a very subjective criteria to give a one star review, and I feel a little bad about that. However, I don't think my experience is unique. Not sure if it's the foam in the seat, if the density isn't high enough, or what. I'm just saying: BUYER BEWARE.

Mixed review, the good and the bad
The good: the wheels are amazing, smooth roll and super quiet; the seat is super cushioned and very comfortableThe bad: the seat back- it sucks, the screw does not tighten enough so it constantly drops. Just use seat without it imo.Ok, now here’s where the real honesty comes in. This chair is made for a taller female or male. If you are under 5’ 5” DO NOT buy!!!!!!!! In the lowest setting my toes just touch the floor to push myself around. This is partly due to the seat being extremely wide as well. I really love the comfort of the seat but the size just makes it unusable for me in my work setting. For all you smaller ladies like me, here’s your warning.

Life saver.
I tattoo for 8+ hours daily and had the tightest hips and lower back. This chair fixed all that. I own 2 now. One at each place I work because it’s so good
