Absolutely Beautiful!
I had spent months online and in stores looking for a new bed at a somewhat reasonable price. I found either pressboard horrors that required aneurysm-inducing assembly skills or lovely wooden beds that were out of my price range. I decided instead to keep the existing frame and just go with a simple, elegant headboard. After reading the reviews for this one, I went ahead and purchased it. Not to sound like I just joined the "Fashion Bed Group Dexter Headboard Cult" but man, the reviews were on point! Amazon, naturally, shipped the headboard quickly. Since I ordered a king-size (and I'm a petite 5-foot-nothing gal), the box was a bit cumbersome to maneuver into the house, but nothing terribly bad and certainly nothing I couldn't handle on my own (insert a haughty "hmpff!" here). The headboard itself is a beautiful dark coppery brown with bits of gold flecks in the paint; nothing gaudy that screams, "Hay y'all! I just came straight from a cheap big-box store! Who wants Cheez-Whiz and Thunderbird wine??"Assembly was incredibly easy (sans the aforementioned aneurysm)and I had it up and attached to the bed frame within 15 minutes. The headboard is indeed quite sturdy, solid and stays in place, no wobbling or creaking. Don't ask how I tested this feature. Suffice it to say, my beau concurred that it was a quality piece... of furniture, that is.Buy this, you will not be disappointed!

Easy assembly and good looking
The product arrived on time, a couple of holes in box. NO damage. The hammered metalic appearance is nice and doesn't pop, so it fit into the decor of the room i needed it for. very EASY assembly, nice to have someone with you for balance. I had the queen size and to attach to a bed its really helpful to have a second person. I will say that the bolts use a hex wrench to tighten, i would rather a standard bolt and in my install i needed to use the longer bolts supplied by another product to make the install. NOT a detraction as thats my issue. the finials screw on easy and the exstension legs simply slide in and you knock them snug and into place. Very quick and looks good. Solid feel NOT A THIN METALLIC FEEL AND SOUND, this is the problem with many headboards, so solid product for a very good price.

Good value....
Very nice...I like the hammered effect and the color. It's sturdy, was easy to put together. It also arrived in good condition. It looks better on my bed than my previous one. I didn't want to spend a lot and I didn't have to.

Very Sturdy!!! But needed modification.
I ended up buying these based on good reviews. I bought two twin size of these headboards from Amazon. After seeing them I felt that they should be priced at $60-$75 max for twin size in the Midwest as the finish looked more mass produced than expected. The meatal was thicker, heavier and sturdier than mass produced tube metal beds. The textured finish looks very nice but prevents it from looking like an authentic antique to the discerning eye. You could modify the finish. The leg bottoms have no style, they are straight plain tubes down to the floor. You can see the seams of where the headboard leg tubes fit into the headboard, which ended up looking cheap to me.I put the legs into the headboard (s) and it stood 56" tall. That is 4' 8" high! They looked stupid. They did not look like the product picture on Amazon. The product photo should show a very visible bottom crossbar by the mattress and be higher in the air. I ended up modifying the frames to barely look like the photo. The bottom horizontal bar of the headboard was above the mattress! Compare it to, if you take your current headboard and raise it in the air higher it will look bad.We have standard bed frames, box foundation with custom skirts, mattress and 2" latex toppers that make our twin xl beds 27" (2' 3") high.I modified these metal headboards, disliked them for 8 months, eventually sold them at a friends garage sale and bought different headboards entirely. If you want this style metal headboard, it is very nice sturdy material with a good finish. But unless you need a high headboard for a bed that rises abnormally high, you will need to cut the metal. You will get 3 pieces. The twin size came with a 40" wide (top ball edge to top ball edge) headboard and two 21" long leg extenders. The top 2" of each of these 21" leg extenders, taper down smaller into a point in order to fit up into the headboards side poles.>>>> If you cut the taper off, you cant attach the legs unless you weld them together, if that's possible.>>> If you cut the bottom/ non tapered end of the poles, your bedframe will not line up with the holes on the headboard.> The last choice is to cut the maximum 4" off of the poles on each side of the the headboard itself that those extenders fit into.I used a heavy duty grinder with a blade intended for metal use, eye protection, a workbench with a vice grip. Sparks were flying! You can NOT cut more than just over 4" off. No closer than 2" down from the headboards bottom crossbar because the horizontal crossbar goes completely into the vertical side pole. You need two inches of length of headboard side pole below this crossbar to accommodate the tapered legs to fit into the headboards poles.I ground down the rough cut edges the best I could and used some touch up paint to hide the cut.The headboard was still very tall. Those decorative top ball things where 51" high. But it looked closest to the product photo shown on Amazon.

Good buy--beautiful
Very good value. Quite beautiful. Mine was indeed brown. Doesn't look cheap and heavier than I had anticipated, based on other reviews. No, holes don't match up with standard bed frame. Only one hole will work on each side (bed frame from sam's club). You could drill holes but it's steady enough. Wouldn't lean on headboard but it's solid and doesn't make noise. Yes, do lubricate on bottom legs that fit into top frame part. My round ball tops came carefully packaged in a separate box in bubble pack so no bent issues or anything. Yes, 1/4 inch locking washers between nut and flat washer great suggestion. Detailed instructions came. Chose to make bolts go "out" rather than coming "into" mattress area per instructions. Was going to try suggestion to attach bottom legs first to bed frame and then slide in top head board piece. Was afraid things wouldn't line up well enough to slide in easily. Put bottom leg pieces in with lubricant but didn't slide then in all the way until after head board attached to frame and I could rotate slightly for a perfect match. Tightened up on frame and then pushed down on top headboard piece. Went in easily with the lubricant. Then tightened bolts some more. The handy person could easily order two sets and use the headboard minus leg extensions for a foot board (drill holes and remove plastic bottom caps from leg extensions and put in open bottoms of top headboard frame).
