Best iem for the money
Best iem, in ear monitor head set for around mid 300$. Compare with my old over ear monitor head set audio Technica M70x ($300) the ie 400 pro surprisly pick up more details. Bass is more impactful then M70x, but not over it. M70x feel flat in high to end and that it is why I bought it as a monitor headphone to use for editing sound.Ie 400 pro have warm and natura breathing sound. It surprise me a 7mm single dynamic can pickup more details then my over ear monitor headphone. And I don't feel it when I'm wearing it, it is so light, and ergonomic design.

Review after one year of use: good sound quality, poor quality of materials.
After a year I must say that the sound is spectacular, but the cable is starting to get damaged by stretching and peeling, one of the headphones had the in-ear driver come loose and I had to glue it back. And today in the middle of a gig, one of the headphones suddenly stopped playing, I measured continuity and it measured an open circuit (it is damaged)So although its sound quality left me delighted, its poor build quality left me disappointed, I have some Chinese headphones, which are 8 years old and still work (good build quality although poor sound.)

Sounds absolutely perfect!
I have used Shure in ears for years now, but these far surpasses the se215 and 315.These are crystal clear with all frequencies present, a great selection.

It’s the Ear Tip Dude!!
Many complaints about earbud sound quality are due to poorly chosen OR poorly designed ear tips. Every ear canal is a little different and getting the fit that fills the ear canal and holds the bud at the right angle can make a HUGE difference in hearing music well across the full human hearing spectrum. If the canal fit is poor…the sound is often horrible and your money is wasted, because of something you can generally fix. It’s the Ear Tips Dude!Higher-end earbuds address the need for a great fit in a variety of tip designs to give the best fit. Try them out! This Sennheiser product uses memory foam and that works well for me, BUT it took effort to find the right match for Each canal. Yep. Human bodies are kinda symmetrical…at best.

Almost perfect sound, wish they were a little less$
Classic sennheiser sound,no distortion, open ,airy, excellent bass, low fatigue. These make pretty much anything sound really great including listening to compressed audio files. Be aware that the quality of your player and music source will still greatly effect the experience. My LG v40 sounds incredible playing the same files when compared to my pixel 3a. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because the upper range, namely vocals, just don't give me that 3D experience that I like. The highs sound really nice, nothing brash, super smooth, but I just don't feel like I'm at the show. All that being said, these are great headphones and I'm super happy with them but I feel like they not worth the money. I feel bad saying this because I love sennheiser and will continue to buy their products but I want to be pleased with every aspect of the sound for a price tag of $350. Close but not quite there, perhaps the new IE 300 will suit me better.

Superb audio
When I started using a mobile DAC I bought iMore Quad ear buds which did a reasonable job but I wasn’t satisfied seemed to over accentuate the lower frequencies. I was a little concerned about upgrading to these given their cost ~$400 but definitely worth it. Fidelity seems true across all frequencies and comfortable to wear and can use when working out without falling out of your ears.

Audio cuts out after 6-8 months of use. Earpiece prone to cracking off.
This is one of the worst in ear monitors for bass players as far as reliability!Six months after I purchased the unit, the right channel suddenly cut out for no apparent reason. I called Sennheiser and they sent me a replacement. Six months later, the earpiece in the right channel cracked off. I called Sennheiser again with one month remaining on my warranty, and they sent me another replacement. Eight months later, the left channel cut out…….and now it’s out of warranty & ready to be thrown in the garbage. While I did like the sound of this unit, I am disappointed in its reliability particularly when being used outdoors in very humid conditions. I recommend staying away from this product. Not worth the money I paid for.

Don't waste your money!
Overpriced pieces of junk! The set I got only lasted a year with constant use. You'd be better off buying the Linzoul set from Amazon for $50. They will last a lot longer and sound a whole lot better.
