Comfort Seats C2B1E16BR C1B1E16BR Toilet Seat, Elongated, Mahogany Finish

I purchased the Mahogony Finish it is dark in color but matches well in my bathroom. This is an excellent piece of hardware and is very noticeable when you walk in the room, It looks like a one of a kind piece.I do not know what this country is coming to but this was a replacement on an American Standard toilet that is a 1958 Model...stll working well after 55 years....Made in the USA....I went to Lowes and looked first after going to Wal Mart...and found little or nothing in toilet seats. I remembered that the last one came from Lowes and 15 years or more ago they had an entier wall filled with seats but only 7-10 none of the were wood, none of them were padded..it is just beyone me how hard it is to find something so common these days. We have to order from Amazon to get a Toilet Seat!!I will say this is top quality, and it fit the American Standard very well. I could not use any of the padded washers on top as it offset the hinges to much but it fit very tightly and looks like a Million Dollars!!!

I just received the seat and installed. It is absolutely beautiful and appears to be a quality product. I purchased this to replace an expensive Kohler mahogany seat that is no longer available.The wood matches the mahogany in the master bath beautifully. Installation was a piece of cake.This would have been a 5-star review had it not been for the what follows.I only have one (albeit major) concern and that is that the rear feet do not sit on the bowl. The seat is on a slight downward angle from the hinge towards the front so it seems as though the feet aren't thick enough. This will surely create stress on the hinge. It creaks also when you sit on it because of that - very disappointing! I removed the washers altogether just to see if it sat flat and it definitely doesn't. I ended up re-using the thinner washers that came off the old seat just to help the seat sit flatter. Hopefully it doesn't break, but if it does, hopefully it will occur within the year warranty period. I will certainly be reporting back here...Update 12/28/14: The seat is still intact and I have had no breakage or real issues, however I will need to replace the thin washers that I re-used from the previous seat as they are under some stress. I raised it from 3 to 4 stars. The shiny finish is actually easier to keep clean and it still looks beautiful.Update 01/27/17: So the high gloss finish is separating from the seat. The "brass" hinge has lost its gold colour so it appears that it isn't brass after all. In spite of the engineering flaws, it did last a while, but now I see that the price went up... since it lasted a few years (nearly 5) It could still be worth it... I really wish that someone would create a good wood seat in mahogany!

This toilet seat looks absolutely fabulous. The color is a rich dark mahagony brown which coordinates wonderfully with most any other color that might be in a bathroom (especially oranges, yellows, greens and reds). I use one of them in a bathroom with dark yellow-colored walls, the other has textured dark rose-colored walls which brings out the red tones in the seat. After the installation, it squeaked a little when sitting down on it; however, after a couple of months, the squeaking has completely disappeared. I was worried about smudges showing because of the high-gloss finish; however, that hasn't been a problem. I wipe it down once a week and that's about all the cleaning it requires.

To whom it may concern;About a year ago I ordered this toilet seat, and had to return the first one because it was flawed. Then I was sent another seat, and that one had flawed bolt threads and I was never able to get the seat secured tightly to the toilet. But I kept it and used it anyway. It was almost too pretty to sit on!So today I went to lift the seat to scrub the toilet bowl and the hinge just broke. There was no pressure on the hinge at all, it just, like disintegrated. I called Amazon and they are going to refund my money rather than replace the seat, because the workmanship on the product is so shabby, that I really didn't want to chance getting another inferior company. I recommend nobody buy this item!
