💄“My Purse’s New Best Friend” 💄 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Let me just say—this EcoTools retractable makeup brush is the Beyoncé of my beauty bag. It’s smooth, soft, and always ready for a comeback.First of all, retractable = genius. I can toss it in my bag without worrying it’s going to collect gum wrappers, crumbs, or whatever mystery fuzz lives at the bottom of my purse. It’s like the brush knows how to protect its peace and its bristles.Blends my powder like a dream—not streaky, not patchy, just flawless realness. I use it for setting powder, bronzer, and sometimes for aggressively brushing away bad decisions.Plus, it’s eco-friendly, which means I can look good and feel morally superior at the same time. 💅Buy it. Love it. Name it if you have to. (Mine’s called “Fluffy McBlend.”)

Versatile and perfect in the purse
The basic things everyone wants out of their makeup brushes are softness, easy care, bristles that don't shed, and effectiveness at putting on the makeup they are intended to be used with. This brush, and every other Ecotools brush I have tried, fit every criteria. The Ecotools line also has the bonus feature of using kind-to-the-earth materials--synthetic bristles (no animal products!) and recycled aluminum. (Their other brushes have bamboo handles, which I approve of as well.)Softness: Other brushes I tried poked my skin and were uncomfortable. The Ecotools brushes are soft and don't bother my sensitive skin one bit.Easy care: I use Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap to clean the brushes, then stand them upright to dry in a ceramic toothbrush holder I have repurposed for my brushes. They are just as good as new after washing.Shedding: I have never seen a single bristle shed, though another brand shed horrendously the first time I washed them--what a waste!Effectiveness: Fit the tool to the job and you will do fine. Many of the Ecotools brushes are perfect in both shape and size for mineral makeup. The kabuki brush is perfect for on-the-go application of anything from mineral concealer to mineral foundation to mineral blush. It also works great with compact-style makeup.I particularly like this retractable kabuki brush because it has a cap that completely covers and protects the bristles. Some of the smaller brushes I used to carry in my purse, even though I had them wrapped in a cloth case, got battered pretty quickly. The kabuki brush is proof against any of that. I've had it for many months at this point, carrying it in my purse everywhere, and it is just a nice as the day I purchased it. I highly recommend it--and at a fraction of the price that you might pay for brushes of lesser quality, it is as easy on your pocketbook as on your skin.

Love this makeup brush!
I previously had another makeup brush from EcoTools that I'd had for quite a while and when it was time to replace it, I couldn't find the same the same model of the brush anywhere I looked! I decided instead to try this version of the brush, as my previous experience with this brand was certainly positive, however I did have my reservations, especially with it being a retractable version, I was concerned that despite the convenience of the retractable feature that it would have a negative effect on the usability of the brush. After using this brush for some time now, I have to say that I love this brush and am very happy with the experience thus far. The bristles are just the right amount of soft and firm and it is a really good size and there are definitely no negative effects from the retractable function, just convenience. I highly recommend this brush and now prefer the retractable version over the non retractable version, it is great to take with you and doesn't leave a mess behind in your makeup bag / purse! The overall quality of this brush feels very similar to much more expensive brushes, the makeup goes on evenly and smoothly and never seems to bind into clumps, which with certain cheap brushes can be a problem. I would definitely buy this product again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great, convenient and good quality makeup brush.

Good, used to be great
I bought this brush a few years back and loved it. So I decided to buy again. The brush is not as dense as it used to be and the quality isn't as great. Still a good makeup brush that's perfect for taking with you. So I do recommend it, just a little disappointed that the quality has changed. Overall a good brush for a reasonable price. In the photo - the brush on the right is the new one in the photo - definitely looks better because it's new. You can kind of see that the bristles are more spread out which makes it lighter and looser when applying powder. Guess it really depends on your preference for applying powder.

Soft no shedding
Love this brush, thick enough, soft enough, no shedding, no powder-make up in my make up bag

Soft & compact
We use this for spreading sunscreen so our hands stay mess free! It’s so soft & we get less complaints. It’s compact enough to fit nicely in my toiletry bag for vacation

Brush doesn't retract all the way
The brush is ok. It is soft and wide but it doesn't stick out as much. The coverage range is smaller than my old brush. I don't like how the strands get caught or cut when it retracts. The retractable piece, doesn't cover the brush all the way before you put the cap to close it. I have to be very careful to put it away. I am afraid that with time, this will deform the shape of the brush.
