Set for a lifetime
Buy this set and you'll never need another. As good a basic set as you can find at the price.

A handy screwdriver set
This is a great screwdriver set. I work on old vintage machines and like guns they have a lot of different screws in them and you don't want to mess them up because the screws are hard to replace. The variety of bits comes in very handy for that . The one problem i find is : If you look at Brownell's largest set they have around 75 flat head bits where Wheeler and Weaver large sets have 54 flat head bits so they must short cuts somewhere relative to Brownell. With the Weaver set they chose not to include any bits with the largest blade width which is .360" or about 23/64". If you have screws that need this largest blade width then you will have to supplement the set with either Brownell bits or Wheeler bits.

Incredible quality
High quality screwdriver set! This isn't one of those cheap gun Smith screwdriver sets from Walmart that say Winchester or somebody else's name. These are high quality bits. I have had this set for several months now. I am extremely pleased with them and am sure you would be to. I highly recommends and would purchase again. Great for the at home gun Smith or even the professional

Not Overly Impressed
This set was a bit of a disappointment. The driver is rather large and the bit selection did not fit my for needs. In hindsight I should have just bought a second bit set like had.

Very handy set
This set is very, very handy for those doing easy to moderately difficult work on firearms. I'm not a gunsmith but I have found I had the need for something that was made especially for firearms and the maintenance and minor repair jobs they sometimes require. The handle is magnetized and the bits stay in place without trouble. I like this set, but now having seen how handy it is I wish I had opted for the Deluxe set which is just a bit more expensive than this one. I believe that both the Weaver Multi-Bit Tool Kit, and the Deluxe Gunsmith Tool Kit are a good investment.

Good value for the price.
Its ok for the occasional gunsmith but not really pro quality. It gives you a wide choice of blades which fit into a socket type driver with a screwdriver handle. You can fit almost slot. Use with care to avoid scratches. Good value considering price and the number of blades.

Fairly priced multi-bit kit.
This set is made in China. The wrench and bits seem to be of slightly-above-average quality. I use them for gunsmithing. The plastic case will not last and does not do a great job of holding the bits. This item is fairly priced. You are not getting a bargain, but you are also not getting screwed.

Expected more from Weaver
Half the sizes don’t fit Weaver scope bases or rings. Screwdriver isnt magnetic. Everytime you turn your driver upright to tighten or loosen a screw the bit falls out. If your not holding it in with the other hand

No more stripped screw slots. Excellent for typewriter repair.
I am content with the quality of the container and bits, whereby this provides an excellent selection of flathead bits for use with the vast array of screw slot sizes that can be found in typewriters over the many decades in which they were produced. Many of these screws can be very tight or seized by rust, whereby you need the flathead bit that will fit it perfectly and provide the greatest contact for delivering torque without damaging the edges of the screw slot. For typewriter repair, many of the other large and perhaps cheaper sets contain many other kinds of bits that I don't need, and not nearly as many variations of flatheads as you can find here. Compared to the large Wheeler set, it seemed like this Weaver set has a larger proportion of smaller or less wide bits that would be more appropriate for most typewriters. The alternative would be to spend a lot more on individual bits or professional gunsmithing screwdrivers. This set is also good if you don't need the punches in the larger Weaver set which otherwise should have all of the same screwdriver bits. This set should be able to serve all your typewriter screwdriver needs for years to come.
