Very effective for pain relief for injuries and post-surgery, very large.
I have used this heavily for a hip injury that otherwise would keep me up in pain all night and also for after my laparoscopic abdominal surgery. I have hardly taken any pain meds as a result. My only caution is that there is no timed heat shutoff like most heating pads and so you can damage your skin if you leave it on too long on high with blankets and everything over it. Honestly, I did that many times and only one time was my skin blotchy red and then I stopped doing that and went to TENS unit after the redness went away.I do recommend this for people who can be careful about how long they use it and how high they set it. I would be cautious about using it for children, elderly, or anyone who might need supervision or who might have more fragile skin. It's not hotter than other heating pads, but it doesn't turn off by itself and covers a large area.I will say that it does get less hot after a while, and I don't know why, but occasionally I did wake up with it being too hot, never extremely hot, but I just did the unthinkable and had it under layers of blankets against the cold and that was not advisable. They say doing that with any electric heating pad could start a fire. I will tell you that I've accidentally left it on all day and used it all night without any fire issues, but don't take that for granted. For use during waking hours without piling blankets on so it holds too much heat, I recommend it for people with normal condition skin for warming large areas.I have to also say that it's great to use if the room is cold and your bed is cold and you just want to be warm. Just make sure you turn it off before you go to sleep. It was a good deal when I bought it.

A very good product that's easy to use and store away.
I use this when I have a sore back. It heats up fast, seems very durable even when I move around. There isn't a concern about it getting so hot that you'd get burned. It fits very well (comfortable) between the back of the chair and my lower back. It also is flexible allowing it to be used on other areas of the body. (Shoulder, knee etc.).It stores away in a small closet space in its box.Overall a very good product when you need it.

Using as a birdcage heater
I have been looking for this size heating pad that has NO auto shut off. My use for this item is someone unusual. I use it at the bottom of my bird’s nighttime cage. She is in this cage at night for at least 10 to 11 hours and the heater must run for that entire time (hence no auto shut off wanted). I purchased another heating pad and it would only run on high for 90 minutes and then would drop down to medium heat level. I wanted an analog controller and this heating pad has it. It heats to a decent heat level and the price is very fair. I was so impressed that I bought 3 of these total.

Pretty standard
Purchased this item on 02/20/2022.Positives:- Affordable- High heat does get hot- Considering I've used this daily and for hours at a time each day, it has held up pretty well over the past 8~ months. Many other heating pads I've tried previously have ended up failing within two to four months.Negatives:- Limited heating options (low, med, high). The different between medium and high is noticeable, and I would have liked an option in between the two levels.- The heat does not disperse that well into the end of the heating pad that's opposite the cable. I find I have to pull the heating pad way up high and up through my shirt to get the heat on my upper back. If you usually use the heating pad for your lower back, then this probably isn't an issue that would effect you.- The heating pad cover frequently slips around, so sometimes your skin can be exposed to the actual heating pad which will be extremely uncomfortable if you're on high heat.- If you lie down while using this or are in some other position that might cause the pad to not lie completely flat, the pad itself will frequently bunch up and need to be spread/smoothed back out into its normal shape to get proper heat spread.Ultimately, it's an affordable product and since it's still working 8 months since it was purchased, I call that a win overall.
