The Nature of Things: The Secret Life of Inanimate Objects

Very thought provoking
Have you ever lost a watch or ring or some other beloved item just to have it serendipitously return to you? Have you ever stepped into a house or room and felt an inviting energy or a negative energy that makes you shiver? This feelings and events are not coincidence according to Watson and other current trends in physics.Lyall Watson has stepped beyond his biological training into the new physics of energy fields to help identify and explain how these energy fields we create are affecting everything around us. This is very new and trending science, still in the "wow - this is hard to believe" stage. But more and more scientists are realizing that what Watson and others is presenting is true.We are energy - we are creators - and we are leaving traces - small and large - on everything around us. Sometimes this is good because lost things return to us, houses filled with love embody that love, but on the reverse negative energy is also absorbed.Watson provided documentation for his work and information for how we can be more aware and mindful of our personal energy and its effects.

Incredible happenings in our world
This is one of my favorite books written by Lyall Watson. I enjoy his scientific mind & training to re-visit history & current times exploring humans collecting rocks & minerals from thousands of years ago, to modern day reporting of what I call "Panpsychism", Panpsychism is the view that all things have a mind or a mind-like quality. Read Watson's book & prepared to be astounded.

Another great Lyall Watson book
I enjoy the connections Watson makes between different areas of study. I have read and re-read this book a number of times, and it never gets boring. The details and events that Watson brings up are interesting to investigate further, and bring up a lot of chances for discussion.

Very Interesting
I read this bok a few years ago and recall enjoying it completely. Lyall Watson's books will make you think, Supernature, the book aboutEvil, the Romeo Error, are all books by Lyall Watson that I have enjoyed so much. I reccomend this book because I bought it once, lent it to someone who never returned it, and fully intend to buy it again. It's that good.

Nature of Things by Watson
This wasn't quite what I expected but it was an interesting book. I anticipated more information on intuitive knowledge imparted upon touching an object. Though not what I was looking for, it was well worth the read.

Fascinating
Read this book about thirty years ago and loved it. Bought it for a young friend, she loved it too. A fascinating look at the 'inanimate' world of things.

Wow..what can I say
I'm not sure what I expected the book to be about, but he brings up some very excellent fascinating points that I never considered. The book was somewhat intriguing, somewhat spooky, and somewhat common sense. While reading this book I realized that a lot of what he is saying may apply to my car. Even though its silly in a way, according to his book, I may have a car that may be alive. Ever since I spoke to friends at work and told them that my 27 year old car will be replaced by something fuel efficient soon, I have had the weirdest occurrences with this car. I mean I literally start it up, put it in drive and the car wont go. I rev on the gas pedal while in Drive and it wont move. I put it in reverse and still nothing. So I let it sit for a few days and come back and it still wont move. So I left it and drove my other cars for next 6 days. While reading this book I realized that my car may be thinking that it is going to be replaced. Even though it's silly to me, but according to the book it may have "heard" me. So I went back to the car and started it up and sat there for 5 minutes in drive and it wouldnt go forwards or backwards while I'm putting the pedal to the floor. I then told the car, ok fine. "I am sorry for saying I will replace you. I will not replace you and I will just find a work around, I promise" I then stepped on the gas and it inched forward and then took off and has been driving fine ever since. I really wouldve never thought any of this was in the realm of normal life but perhaps my car does have feelings/emotions/brain or something, all I know that after I spoke to the car, for the first time in 6 days it then moved. Now I have figure out what other car I need to replace since apparently I cant replace this one.Anyway great book and it does make you wonder .............. and look at certain situations differently.

Brilliant
I read this book the first time around a good 20 years ago or more, and I decided to buy it and read again. It hasn't lost any of its interest, in fact, it was a joy to re-read. With strange tales of the behaviours of inanimate objects, this is something everyone should read. The universe is a very strange place. Long may it be so!

EXCELLENT BOOK!
This book had me gripped from the beginning. A lot of it is taken from the Fortean files. Gripping read to the end.Have you ever wondered when you lose a ring and it mysteriously turns up? Why people have similar accidents in the same cars?Highly recommended!I enjoyed this more than Supernature and that was a fab read , too.
