TP-Link Archer T2U Plus AC600 WiFi Dongle, HighGain USB WiFi Adapter for PC

This T2U usb dongle I bought because the wifi signal to my desktop in our home office was dropping out every hour or so every day, very frustrating. This dongle is mid priced and very, very effective. I have not had a single drop out since installing it, which was simple plug and play, no additional drivers required and my wifi signal is now always 5 bars as apposed to 2 bars max with the old one. Very happy.

Its compatibility with Windows 10/8.1/8/7 and Mac OS 10.15 and earlier ensures broad usability across older and modern systems. The USB 2.0 interface is not the fastest available, but it handles most daily tasks without noticeable lag. The inclusion of MU-MIMO technology enhances throughput and stability when used with compatible routers, while WPA3 security offers peace of mind for more secure connections. What stands out most is the nano design—it’s nearly flush with the USB port, making it perfect for laptops or PCs where space and portability matter. Setup is straightforward, and driver installation is quick for most users. Overall, the Archer T3U Nano offers excellent value for money, delivering strong performance and security in an ultra-small package. It’s a great choice for upgrading older devices or as a travel-friendly wireless solution. Very happy with it :)

The product works, without a doubt. However, to set the thing up is difficult. I’m running windows 11 whereas the instructions seem to only mention windows 7. It took me around an hour to set the thing up but in the end it does work and it works well. Firstly, the USB has to be plugged into a USB 3.0 port (the blue one), it will work in other sockets but the signal strength won’t be as strong. This could be a problem with my hardware but it seems to work really well in just one of my USB ports. Secondly, when you connect it to the internet, the instructions specify and I quote “Select your WiFi network, click connect and enter the password”. This is way too brief. You don’t just connect the computer to the internet, you have to physically open your WiFi settings, find where the device is located in your network and tell the computer to use it for the internet. Mine was called “WiFi 2”. I had to really dig around my settings to find how I could swap it over onto the device. One of the links in the small pamphlet (faq-2253.html) did help me find out where in the settings it was buried. Long story short, it does work, it is good value for money, well designed and I would buy again. The instructions for set-up is just useless unless you already have a vague knowledge of how computers work. Would not recommend for anyone over the age of 50.

Works as it should, it doesn’t go up to the stated speeds but its fast enough. Decent quality, had one that lasted around 3 years but i think i bent it accidentally

I bought this because my Dell Latitude 5320 had an annoying intermittent problem where Win11 would disable the built-in driver. A [Windows expert] friend of mine once showed me how to bypass it but the steps were not simple and I had already ordered this by then. So the next time it happened, I dug out this gadget, which I had been carrying around in my bag just in case. I looked at the enclosed setup CD and wondered how that was going to be any use to me and then, to my delight, the dongle started working a few seconds after I plugged it in - no setup, it just started working. I was also pleased to see that the laptop recognised it as a WiFi adaptor and just switched to using that but retained all its saved connection details so it connects to whatever router I had already configured using the [now defunct] built-in adaptor without having to reconnect and re-enter WiFi password. The small size means I can leave it plugged in, even when carrying in my case, just need to make sure that end is facing upwards in my rucksack so the dongle doesn't bang on the floor if I put my bag down hard.

The built in WiFi on my mini PC was struggling to get a reasonable speed. Decided to replace with this and have also used a 1m USB extension to reach a shelf. Much better signal and quicker speeds now. I would recommend.

Ethernet cable worked ok, but i don't want a 10 metre cable winding around the room and across a doorway (the Pc is on the other side of the room from the router and theres no suitable place for the computer table nearby unfortunately) . So I bought this . I didnt install the cd drivers it plug and played straight away . It worked ok for 2 -3 days but then stopped. I spent many hours doing all the usual checks ie drivers , altering pc settings, uninstalling, re-installing, using different usb slot, rebooting router and many many other settings etc etc etc. In the end I suspect that a cable had wrapped around it or the pc tower was too close to the table leg which nudged it ,or something, as the usb part was ever so slightly bent. The price was good (£11) , it did work hence 3 stars, but its very fragile so if there is any clutter or any chance anything of anything touching it behind your pc tower, then i don't recommend it. Definitely do not buy it for a laptop, where it will get knocked about, as gentle as you would try to be! The swivel 180 degree is good.

My Acer Aspire 8942G, the built in wifi card had completely failed Ordered late on a Friday, arrived mid afternoon 2 days later on Sunday. That's is quick. The dongle is tiny, just a little bigger than a dongle for a mouse. It is in a box with a full size CD and printed instructions. Following the introductions, I put the dongle in a USB socket, selected my router, entered the password, click connect, and so it was. It was that simple, I did not need to install any drivers. That was my experience you may need to install drivers, every laptop and computer is different. I use SAMKNOWS to test my connection speed, it is recommended by the Tech Department of Virgin. This on-line speed checker measure the output of the router and the reception of your device. My laptop is only 2 metres away from the router and both speeds were the same. The speeds will change depending on distance and obstructions. My previous dongle, it still works, usually had about 10mbs less than the router output. Very pleased with this TP Link dongle, might get another. They come with a 3 year warranty.

Ottima chiavetta, stabile e sensibile al segnale, miglioramenti della rete in velocità e affidabilità WIFI - consigliata in particolare per pc portatili un po' datati, soluzione definitiva. Consigliata.

The adapter is very small and leaves almost no bulge or footprint on your laptop, went for this because I have a MacBook with a Wi-Fi issue and had to get an external adapter. After trying other models this is the one that worked perfectly for the MacBook and OS version I have. When using you just need to download the Driver and install it (had to use a USB Flash drive for that) and after it got installed the system detects it automatically and everything works smoothly.

Hab es für die Arbeit gekauft (Werkstatt), ersetzt einen viel aufwändigeren Dongel der schon alt war. Wir hatten immer Probleme mit Software updates der Firma Würth, mit diesem WLan Stick geht es wunderbar und klappt jedesmal. Vor diesem stick hat jedes Update mehrere Versuche gebraucht, ging so weit das ich den rechner schon abgebaut und an den router direkt angeklemmt habe. Der Stick funktioniert super, der Empfang wird schwächer angezeigt als beim alten (Hatte 2 schöne hochragende Antennen hinterm Monitor). Der Speed ist schnell und Stabil. Dieser stick sitzt bei uns in einem Blechkasten mit dem Computer darin und einer schmalen Öffnung an der Front. Benutze damit oft Sunshine und Moonlight Video Stream um den PC von draussen zu bedienen, funktioniert wunderbar auch durch ein geschlossenes Blechtor in einem Auto, manchmal bricht es ab, dem Umständen entsprechend sehr verständlich (Mit offenem Tor gab es noch nie aussetzer). Der Stick muss viel für seinen Empfang tun und hat es echt nicht leicht, klappt aber ziemlich gut. Würde es wieder kaufen! Härtetest bei mir bestanden.
