Excellent sound quality belies the very modest cost of these IEMs :)
Sound quality is what the reviewers on Head-Fi.com led me to expect. The non-detachable cable obviates the issues some are having with the detachable cable versions of this model. The "illuminating green" looks much better in person that the pictures here. My only concern is with the lack of cable strain relief. Heck the $10 MEelec M9 Classic IEMs have strain relief, so why not these? Vsonic upgraded their cable ("snake skin") on the older VSD1S model to address consumer feedback but again they didn't see fit to roll that tweak forward. :( Regardless I'm pretty gentle with IEMs. My Shure E2c set lasted me over a decade so I have high hopes these will last despite the lack of strain relief on the cable.Mine were delivered without any foamies which I understood would be "M" sized. No biggie for me as the smallest "gumdrops" are what fit me best also providing the best seal. Obviously this may be an issue for others.Bottom line here is that the sound these deliver for $40 is an outright bargain!

Great audio quality, terrible build quality
The sound quality of the VSD3S is wonderful but the build quality is absolutely awful in the cable strain. I bought another pair to replace a pair that had developed constant static unless the cable is flexed in a comical way after a year and this pair developed the same issue in a little over a month.

Worth the Price of Admission
I own an embarrassing number of headphones and IEM'S priced from $12.00 to $700.00. I have two other pairs of VSonic's and enjoyed their sound.Well these sure didn't diappoint. They are a bargain at this price point. Their bass is deep but doesn't overwhelm the mid's. Mid's bass is a bit emphasized. Mid's are well represented. High's are clear and nicely done. Soundstage is good with height, depth and width. Instrument separation and placement is pretty good. For the money you will be impressed.
