I am 68 years old and my eye sight is not what it used to be. Like many older people my close-up vision is not very good anymore. I purchased this product to help me read the small print on items or see close up details when required. The magnifying glass works great, is well made, fairly compact and the built in light really helps light the area (another problem with older folks, is low light loss of acuity). I recommend this product.

This is a magnifying glass, not a loupe—just so you know. And it is a bit bigger than I was expecting. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about what is good about this device. It is very lightweight; you’ll hardly feel it in your pocket. It’s easy to use with or without the light. Open partway for no light, open all the way for the light. The light is bright enough to illuminate the object you want to see, but not glaring so you miss details. I got this to use in the field when hunting for cool rocks and minerals. I like to think I’m going to find a large gemstone, but mostly I pick up leaverites (as in “leave it right there”).

My 9 year old grandson prounced it to be "cool" and asked if he could have one. Sure thing. The LIGHT -- which you control by opening the device just a bit ( no light) to opening it fully ( lights up) makes this magnifyier truly functional in virtually all circumstances. And really important to me: it weighs nothing! Put it in a pocket, purse, clipped to a backpack and adds nothing to weigh you down, but gives great piece of mind knowing you can read any small print in any light confidently. Dont know how long battery ( replaceable) lasts but after 5 months of very frequent use, mine is going strong. And who doesn't want to be "cool"?

I had been collecting coins since I was a kid and I'm 64 now. I'm disabled and have been looking for hobbies and so Im going through all of these coins. I'm literally knee deep in coins. So, I purchased this magnifying glass because it's the perfect size. I can read the dates and look for imperfections. My eyesight is not the best and this glass makes it so easy Works great. There's really not a down side to this little glass. I'd recommend it to anyone needing it for magnifying small hard to see images. Wouldn't trade if for anything else

This little Lighted Magnifier is really great! Works perfectly, and very handy to have around. I read the other reviews and decided to give it a try. Very glad I did. Exactly what I was looking for!

First, the good: The design is good and makes this magnifier useful to toss in your pocket. The LED function throws enough light to be useful when needed. The price point is fair for the item. The not-so-good: The Acrylic lens has already been scratched simply by opening and closing the magnifier. I'm not sure how long this will remain useable for daily carry. I would have much rather paid a dollar or two more for an identical product with a quality glass lens.
