Laboratory Techniques in Organic Chemistry

I needed this book for my Organic Chemistry 1 lab. It’s very easy to read, and has important vocabulary words in bold throughout the chapters and review pages dyed in blue at the front of each chapter.

Exactly what I needed for orgo!

Well, if you find yourself having to order this book, bless you and good luck. Not because of the product, but because you are taking Organic Chemistry! I decided to rent this book from Amazon to save some money, and it was a good choice. There is nothing in this book that needs to be written in or taken out, so the book is good to just rent. Especially if you are only going to use it for one semester, I would recommend renting from Amazon. The only thing that bothered me was how many stickers were on the front and back covers of the book. That's why I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. It's not like the stickers make the book less useful, it is just slightly annoying. Overall, worth it!

This is a required text for my lab. We follow the directions pretty much step by step. Its very clear and concise and provides a great introduction and theory behind each experiment.

Mohrig, et al cover all the bases from basic lab techniques to in depth analysis of IR, MS and NMR spectra. I know of a no more thorough coverage in one book.

This is a very good and easy to understand book. I especially like the diagrams.

This was a requirement for my son's class and he found it very useful and informative. It made the lab work easier to understand and it also served as a study guide when he met weekly with a study group.

Very nice book if you are going into organic chemistry. I just needed it for class, and though a few parts weren't applicable to what we were doing in lab, I could see where it was pretty informative. Nice drawings of laboratory set-ups and illustrations of apparatus. If I didn't dislike the subject matter, this might have gotten a better review.
