I have not written a review on Amazon yet and I purchase items weekly often more. I am in shock at the effectiveness of this collar! I have a male 5.5 year old cat who was neutered as a kitten and has been my baby. He has always been a high strung cat and needy, constantly meowing wanting held or treats but he would sleep with me, cuddle on the couch etc. Three years ago my daughter moved back home and brought her small dog with her and my neighbors moved in with two non-neutered males next door. My cat began marking/spraying. I tried all the Feliaway products in the rooms and the collar. Of course made sure the letterboxes were cleaned twice daily, that he had no medical conditions etc. In the last 3 years the problem had gotten completely out of hand to the point that whenever he was let inside the house he started searching for his spots to spray and within a minute he would mark his territory and if left to continue would endlessly do so. He also was now very high strung and didn't even want much attention and never came to sleep in our room. We finally decided to try the cat prozac which he had been given for about a week and half. However, my vet gave me a capsule that I had to open and sprinkler the powder on his food. He is so finicky that I wasn't getting much in him despite my efforts at buying anything and everything to sneak it into. At this point it hadn't done ANY good! I decided to give this collar a try and THAT NIGHT my cat completely relaxed, he came and cuddled and laid by us on the couch, something he hadn't done in probably 6 months. As always now I watched his every move inside the house and it has been a week and half and he has not sprayed ONCE!!!! He eats all his food with the prozac in it too! He plays with the other cats. He is back to his old self again. I am so grateful for this product. I was going to have to keep my cat completely outside and that was not going to be easy. We used these to introduce our newly adopted cat to our resident cat and they made a huge difference - much less hissing after we had them plugged in for a day or so. We put one in the bedroom our new cat was in and one in the living room.After they had been fully introduced (and made friends) our new cat had to have her teeth cleaned. When she got back, our older cat no longer recognized her scent — these helped tremendously in re-introducing them.Keep an eye on the liquid levels and remember to refill them or unplug them if you run out - they can get warm!

I always try and focus on positive. I love that it’s drug and odor free. I also love that there is a shutoff to prevent overheating! But I’ve not noticed any difference with my fighting cats to be honest. We have this located in the room that most fights take place and no changes in behavior yet.On a positive note, there are no noticeable smells or odors and it’s easy to install. I’m going to keep using to see if I notice any difference.I really wanted this one to make a difference as to have some calmer mornings around the house.If things change I will update my post for sure.

I put one of these in the living room with a grounded 6 outlet plug adapter. It was upright and fine. Then I put one in my bedroom on a normal outlet and it was plugged in for a few hours. When I went into the bedroom it had a weird smell, I can’t really describe it maybe a bit like a burning smell mixed with the smell of chalk? I couldn’t figure it out I smelled the diffuser and realized that it was the cause. I went out to the living room and smelled that one and it didn’t smell at all. So I unplugged the stinky one and it was burning hot! I unplugged the other and it was also very hot! I’m not sure maybe I got the wrong voltage or wattage I don’t know the correct terminology but I’ve used other diffusers and never experienced this! I’m afraid to plug it in again I don’t know if it could cause a fire but I’m petrified of fires so I don’t even want to risk it. I haven’t tried to return them and I have not contacted the seller. It could just be the outlets here or maybe I’m doing something wrong? Even if it’s not a fire hazard the smell is pretty awful.
