Very easy, cost effective way to dye all of your roots
Pictures 1-3 afterPicture 4 beforeI forgot to take a before pic but you can kinda see how light my hair is in the one I did have.I bought this product to dye all of my roots, not just the “visible” ones. I have bleached and dyed my hair all sorts of fun colors at home before, but never just my roots or a typical “natural” color before from a box dye. I would say this dye did the job and I really enjoyed the ease of use, not having to mix the color and developer separately. I also like that I can use the left over dye because it only dispenses what you need. If you have never dyed your hair before you may have some trouble getting all of your roots by yourself, however someone inexperienced could help you easily. If you’re just dyeing your visible roots, it doesn’t get much easier than this! I was worried I may miss a few pieces of hair but honestly cannot find anywhere on my head that didn’t get dyed. For your reference:-I have thick, fluffy, semi coarse hair and I didn’t even use the whole bottle. Again, I dyed ALL my roots.-my natural hair color is dark strawberry blonde/light brown. Can’t say how well it’ll work for grays-the color is darker than is advertised. I would say it’s closer to VERY dark brown/espresso to almost black. It would have matched my original hair color if that was not faded. My roots just appear slightly darker though, which is fine with me.-can’t comment on the longevity because I only did this last night. If it appears to fade easily I will update this review.-very mess free! I didn’t get a drop of it on my bathroom counter or walls and it didn’t seem to “stick” to the gloves like some other dyes do-it will dye your skin easily and is harder to get it out the longer it sits-some parts had dye for 40ish minutes, some for only 10, I haven’t noticed a difference in their appearanceOverall I highly recommend this hair dye. It really is the easiest way to dye your roots. Also LOVE the price - looks the same as if I had gone to a salon

It's easy, and it works!
So first time DIY on hair root touch up that I ALWAYS went to the salon for. I recall asking my stylist once if there was an over the counter product I could use periodically myself to save money. She replied no, none of it works or is easy to use. lol, yeah I kinda expected her to say that. I let my DIY plan go and I continued going in every 5 weeks or so to have her touch up my root outgrowth. Then we entered into these Covid19 times. I began searching for something I could use at home, and this product sounded easy. It was very basic and simple to use, and it worked to cover my grey outgrowth. I guessed on the color, and it was surprisingly a really good match for me. I thought for sure I would have to try a few different shades before I found one that matched well enough. I had watched for years as my stylist applied my touch-up, section by section dragging the pointed tip of the brush across my scalp into a part, then brushing the color mix over the grey roots. I copied that action, and the only issue I had was the middle back. Pretty difficult to do yourself. My first attempt at this was in the morning, and that day when I came home from work my husband looked at me, and said your hair looks like you went to the salon, but they are closed so how did you get that done? When I told him I did it myself that morning, he was impressed (and I could see the $$$ signs in his eyes of all the potential future savings ). He did notice that the back was a little sketchy here at there, and offered to help me do the back section next time. What a guy. :p

Perfect
I've tried every root touch up I could find: powders, sprays, dye kits, mascara... My hair is red/burgundy, and sometimes it's harder to find those shades. My hair also grows fast and white around my face, and I'd have to recolor it every 2-3 weeks if I didn't touch up the roots. This product solved all my problems. It took me 10 minutes to fix my roots. I did it in the morning before work. Squirt, stir, put it on your head, and by the time the shower is warm, you're in it. Since I can choose how much I use, I can use it for small touch ups if I miss a spot or before I would normally want to do a whole process. The color completely covered my white/gray roots, covered the remaining dark brown roots, and blended with the burgundy perfectly. It has lasted without fading for 3 weeks. It did not stain my skin. The formula is thick and doesn't drip. It rinsed thoroughly with no staining the towel or dripping blood red rivulets down my shoulder. It's so easy to work with.I am currently using Revlon burgundy as my regular hair color. I'll be curious how well the product will work if I changed the color or brand. I also did let it sit on the gray roots for the whole 10 minutes since it's stubborn grays. The color matched perfectly!
