Great quality, very solid, nice design, no smell. The roll top is very smooth, and opens and closes easily. It has enough room for six poppy rolls, a loaf of bread, and some hot dog rolls too. I also like that it came already assembled.

Just purchased this for my crazy bread baking insanity stage of life that I’m currently in! I’ve caught the sourdough bug, and have been doing a lot of baking lately. I didn’t really have a spot to store my bread once I baked it, this counter was always full of crumbs, and my bread would dry out pretty quickly. I wanted a nice, neat spot to keep my bread, while also keeping my countertop tidy. This is the perfect solution. I can fit 3 loaves at a time (couldn’t fit the one on top, but that’s ok, as I usually just need space for 2 loaves). Not sure if it’ll keep the sandwich bread I made fresher for longer yet, as I just bought it. But I’m super happy with the nice and tidy aesthetic! I’m very pleased with the purchase. Didn’t have to put anything together, came fully assembled. It says it’s bamboo, but it feels like plastic wood, so who knows? Time will tell!

This breadbox is a good size -- it's very deep. It comes assembled and seems to be well built. It's attractive, and the roll top door slides smoothly. Overall I'm quite happy with it. I was looking for something to store snacks in (cookies and chocolate). I was trying to find something tall and deep, like the breadbox I currently use for bread. However the tall ones that I found were expensive. This breadbox is very reasonably priced and does hold a good amount, and I believe they were offering it at a discount when I bought it. Also the counter area where I keep the breadboxes is not wide enough for 2 to fit side by side. So I put this one perpendicular, which is why the rolling door is a nice feature. It's still easy for me to open it and reach in to get something, then close it again. Also the top is flat so I can stack some things on top. Good Value.

I just needed something to keep the cat from getting into our bread (and then sharing it with the dog, lol). I love this bread box though. I love the wooden look, the way the door slides up and down is very smooth and satisfying. The door can be opened enough that it won't just close again, but has enough weight that the cat has been thwarted in its attempts to eat more carbs. I can fit two full leaves of bread without squishing them in and its plenty sturdy enough to place things on top of it. I'm very glad I got this one.

The bread box is great. Some reviews talk about the dimensions being smaller than described; the dimensions listed are for the outside of the box and those reviewers didn't seem to understand that. The dimensions listed in the description are correct. The door did get stuck a little in the track at first, but as with all wooden tracks and drawers, a little wax fixes that. Take an old candle cut it to size and rub it inside the track, move the door up and down, repeat, you should be good to go. Also, it did have a smell to the inside when I unpacked it. I put a cup of water & a little ammonia in there for a few days and the smell went away. I did it with the bread box closed, slight open, and fully open. It's a good size. A full loaf of bread will fit, but I buy half loaves and they fit great. I've not had any issues with it. I'm considering buying two more for potatoes and onions.

i got this box to replace a standard cheap roll top metal breadbox that had become gross and rusty. my hopes were to upgrade the space inside the box as well have have more storage space on top since the curved design of the metal breadbox left only a small, precarious area for stuff to be set on. this breadbox arrived on time and in good condition. that is to say that it did not appear to be damaged in shipping. the box itself is on par with any other cheap amazon bamboo product: rough and splintering edges, glue residue, etc. the door operates fine, it sticks and feels quite flimsy but it doesn't need to be particularly sturdy to hold back bread. the design of this box makes it so that it doesn't interfere with items pushed to the back, but that means that the opening is obstructed somewhat by the roll top panel. this opening has just over 5 inches of clearance, less than my old metal breadbox. arriving assembled is touted as a feature, however i kinda wish it didn't so i could remove the door entirely (it's almost always open anyway.) as others have mentioned, the listed dimensions are largely incorrect, and i don't consider this to be any larger than any other bamboo breadbox listed on amazon. the depth measurement includes the handle (for which i have no idea what its purpose is for) and the actual exterior base depth is closer to 10.5 inches. the interior's is functionally closer to 9 inches. the external length is about 17.25 (i would deduct about and inch and a half for the usable interior space) and the external height in the back is just a hair over 7 inches. the depth of the shelf on top is also about 7 inches. some quality of life improvements to make this (or similar) bread boxes more usable is to get a wax crayon or piece of candle and rub it generously into the groove of the rolltop hatch. this helps keep the door from sticking as much when you open and close the hatch. this is also another reason why assembling it yourself would be desirable, since you would be able to reach the entire length of the grooves instead of here where you can only reach part of it. add some thick adhesive bumper feet to the bottom of your breadbox. this will keep it from scooting or sliding while you struggle with the rolltop and also keep it off the counter should something spill. look into adding some shelf liner or contact paper as well. so all in all, it's an ok product, but not worth the price and not entirely true to the specification listed. i like the bigger usable area on the top of the breadbox and will tolerate its par/subpar design.
