Does this connector remain tight after numerous uses?

NO! I wasn't even able to get a proper connection with this product. Keep looking!

Is this connector compatible with tyumen 18 awg zip wire?

Agreed... it is NOT compatible with the Tyumen 18 awg zip wire. In the headline, this item is labeled 22-24 awg connector but on the dimensional page, it shows 18-22awg. That's obviously misleading and I missed that discrepancy. Once split, the outer diameter of Tyumen 18 awg zip wire ranges from .092" to .098" and the inside diameter is .062" as mentioned in the details of this connector. That's a big mismatch! Having that dimensional detail of the connector is nice, but good luck finding the wire dimensions anywhere in an ad. I was able to get it assembled, but it took 5 minutes of shaving the outer insulation of the wire to reduce the diameter enough to make it fit, which defeat the implied benefit of quick assembly. Soldering a connector on would take the same amount of time, maybe less once you had everything set up. I like the connector and will keep them for future use but am aggravated about this issue which makes it useless in my application.

Are these connectors very durable? As in clipping them together and taking them apart many, many times.

If you can get the wires to make a connection in the first place (which is a real issue), the plug parts seem fairly easy to disconnect and replug.
