Works well. compact sizeI have been using this Anker SD card reader to pull photos and video off SD cards, and it has worked exactly as expected. Plugged it into a USB-C laptop and phone and it was immediately recognized without any setup. The size is a big plus. It is small enough to live in a camera bag or laptop sleeve without getting in the way, but it still feels solid and well built. Card insertion is firm and secure, not loose. Transfer speeds have been consistent for my use, and I have not had any disconnects or read errors so far. If you need a simple, compact SD card reader that just works, this one does the job.

I’ve put this little Anker reader through absolute abuse flashing Raspberry Pi OS images on my Windows laptop, pulling video off microSD cards, moving firmware, backing up configs, you name it. It lives in my backpack and gets used constantly, and it hasn’t missed a beat once. Transfer speeds are fast and consistent. No random disconnects, no “device not recognized,” no cheap plastic heat-up nonsense. The dual SD + microSD slot setup is perfect when you’re bouncing between Pi projects and other devices. Plug it in, drop your image, and you’re flashing a fresh OS in seconds. What I really love is that it’s built like a tank for something this small. Solid metal, no flex, no cheap feel. It just works every single time which is exactly what you want when you’re doing quick field updates or emergency card reads. Great little card reader, my last one went bad and would not read anymore. This one is small and handy for going from one pc to another.

It works well, extremely small, feels quality! It works pretty fast and considering that it only costs $7 (at the time of purchase), it’s very worth it! (Also super small!)

The only thing holding this back from 5 stars is the fact that it gets VERY warm during usage. Does it still chug along just fine? Yes. Can I touch it without burning myself? Yes. Does it seem to cap at a certain heat level? Also yes. BUT despite all these yeses, it's still a bit concerning to feel it heating up quite significantly whenever I use it. To date it hasn't done any damage / ever failed me, and I recommend it almost unreservedly.

This works well and copies faster than the adapter that came with the micro SD cards. My experience is about 3 times faster, but that could vary for other people -- it probably depends on the speed of the slot port and chip. I was using the same chip for comparison, but this went through the USB port instead of the chip reading slot, and so that could have made a difference too. Overall, the time it saves me makes it well worth the price.

What a great device. Was able to transfer mu phots from a camera chip to my iPhone. Very happy with my selection and purchase.
