Works as needed, just seems a little overpriced for what it is
This is needed to add on the GW-4 wide angle adapter.

Works great to prevent dust on sensor
I do youtube videos featuring the Ricoh GR III, and couldn't use the camera without this coupler and a UV filter! It works great!

I think it's good for the long run of your GR III
I'm immediately getting this. The GR III is a big investment for such a little camera and I want to make sure absolutely no dust gets into the sensor. The GR III now has a dust removal system now but the guy on DigitalRev youtube channel made a good point that it's just going to shake that dust into a different part of the camera. I don't think that this converter lens will make it that bulky but will take pictures once I get it tomorrow. GR III is a good camera and just want to make sure that it lasts as long as it can until the GR IV comes out.It protrudes just a little bit more but I still feel that it maintains that compactness and wont affect my shooting. Itβs all plastic and dont forget to but a 49mm thread filter. Buying just this converter wont protect your lens from dust, you need a separate filter

Better rating if materials and price was better.
It is cheaply made, itβs a plastic mount for the GRiii. I wanted to use the Ricoh Gw4 wide lens, so I had no option than to buy this. There is another similar mount on here for about $20 but it does not have the metal connectors like this one. Therefore the cheaper one would not work with the Ricoh lenses. Yes, this adapter is cheaply made but you will be okay if you take care of it. It wouldβve been nice if it was aluminum. It works and does the job. The price is just too high for a plastic adaptor. The max I would happily pay for this would be $25-$30, not $50.

Could've been a bit better
Lightweight and seemingly sturdy. Has a clever inner leaver that is pressed when you use GW-4 activating the contacts on the adapter, letting the camera know that GW-4 is attached (for EXIF and IBIS). Also, I like that it locks onto the camera mount. However, it does rattle a little bit when it's attached. Tighter tolerances would be better. And $50 seems overpriced for what it is. I wish it came together with the GW-4 at reduced price, would make a much better value item.

Must-have plainly for the ability to use a filter.
I like that this is made to look similar to the body of the camera, but I wish it was actually made of some sort of lightweight metal, not hard plastic. The plastic is sturdy, but definitely has some play. Nowhere near as good as Fujifilm's solution to adapting a 21mm lens to it's X70. Awesome that you can screw on a 49mm filter. That is a must-have if you don't want dust entering your sensor.
