Black & Decker power sander review.
This Black & Decker sander came in very useful. I've had no problems loading paper from the Dollar tree to Sherwin-Williams. The dust collector works good and the Sanders grip leaves vibration minimal. I was surprised. I haven't bought Black & Decker before though I have some old pass me down drills that are Black and Decker that still work too. Anyways the sander was a good value for the money which was what I was looking for at the time. It quickly got through the edge of the spray paint that they painted over stickers that I needed to get off. The sander has plenty of power for it it got right to it. The design is ergonomically friendly and vibration friendly and the speed of the sander is good. I'm impressed I didn't expect it to be this good especially at the price point. I would recommend the sander to anybody and have to my sister who refinishes furniture & such.

powerful
The Black & Decker 2.0 Amp Electric Sander is a fantastic tool for both DIY projects and more detailed sanding work. The 2.0 amp motor provides plenty of power, making it easy to smooth out rough surfaces quickly. I’ve used it on wood, and even painted surfaces, and it performs consistently well every time. The sander is lightweight and easy to handle, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. I also appreciate the dust collection feature, which keeps my workspace cleaner than expected. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient tool that’s perfect for both beginners and experienced DIYers. Highly recommended!

Quality but very LOUD!
This sander is very easy to operate . It is quite Loyd so might want to order ear protection . It does the job . A bit cumbersome renewing sheets of grit but you get into a pattern and ability then it seems easier . The bag was very hard to maneuver into position . I don't see much dust being emptied . Hummm. It's a keeper. Beats hand sanding which I tried .

Excellent Power, Design and Value (understandibly loud and no low power setting for small jobs)
Of many orbital and palm sanders that i've used for over a decade this one is the most powerful. Its design, activated through palm pressure is the most convenient i've used also. If anything its so powerful, I wish there was a low power setting for subtle jobs; and it is also loud, which is understandable. Amazing tool at an amazing value, I highly recommend.

with that said it is very easy to use
That is a very small palm sized orbital sander. However, with that said it is very easy to use. It is a good electrical cord power tool that serves its purpose as a handy-dandy little palm sander.Take note: It is not very powerful. It does not have a lot of oomph or power to it to do heavy work, but it is good for light to medium jobs.Pros: The great thing about the Black and Decker 1/4 sheet orbital sander is that I can get any kind of square/rectangle sheet of sand paper, cut it into quarters (or size it to the sander pad), and then use it on this machine! It is great that I do not have to buy special sanding pads or papers for this machine. Any sanding paper will work as long as the user creates holes in the paper with the provided hole-puncher for the machine to collect the dust. The dust catcher is tiny but it works as long as you do not press down too hard. If you are putting too much pressure on the machine, the dust vacuum effect will suffer and dust will not be suctioned into the bag. It will seem that the bag does not work. However, if you do not press down hard enough it will not do major sanding. I have tried with 120 and 100 grit paper and only got slight sanding effects. It was more like coarse buffing.I have also used this without punching holes in the paper (so the suction did not work to catch the dust) but it sanded fine without any issues.Cons: The cord is not very long. So the user will have to work in small areas or with an extension cord. The picture is true and correct but I didn't realize how small it would be. It fits in the palm of your hand, and it is super light. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your needs. Light= Light Work. This is OK for small work. Sure, I am happy to have it but it was not exactly what I was expecting. I can certainly say that this is not for refinishing hardwood floor work. Yes, it can get into inconspicuous corners, but this tool is best for buffing or light sanding.I may find this to be useful for doors, molding, and trim work.Update: Summer 2016: It has been most useful to sand smooth rough cut saw wood planks and smoothing out repurposed pallet wood with the right grit sand paper. Conclusion: for the price it’s a good value for light quick tasks!

Easy to use and well worth the price.
I love it! I used it to sand my 8X12ft deck and especially like the little dust bag on the back. I am a very old senior citizen and it was easy to figure out. A job I was dreading is now done! Now I am going to do a second hand table I bought!!

it does a fine job
I bought this sander after trying to hand sand an old cabinet (the 1 drawer took me 4 hours to do)and well didnt want to do that anymore!! So I started sanding with it yesterday and it went well(sometimes I poked holes in the sand paper and sometimes I didnt) The one time I didnt the sander got very hot and the pad melted to the sand paper which made a very hot glue like residue in this one spot!! I changed the paper (made holes) and went back over that spot which came out fine! However the pad is now partically ruined!! Over all this small inexpensive sander is doing the job I expected it to. In less than half the time it took me to hand sand the one drawer, I did both cabinet doors!! ALSO worth noting is the vibration which gets to your hands after a while (mine were numb for about an hour afterwards)
