XtremepowerUS Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaner Ingound/Above Ground Side Suction Hover Vacuum Pool Cleaner with 5-Way Pool Testing Kit Set

This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased in the past 12 years so they last a long time, they work great, and the price cannot be beat. This unit works just as good or better than units that cost 3 to 4 times more. Based on past results I expect to get a good 5 to 6 years out of this unit equating to a cost of $20.00 a year, cheaper than one meal at a fast food restaurant. Seriously consider this cleaner for your in-ground pool as opposed to other name brand suction cleaners.

Bought it to replace a much more expensive gear driven pool cleaner that had failed. This thing works great. Works better and with less suction than my old cleaner and cost me less than $100 vs $300+ for my old unit. The plastic seems a little on the frail side so I don't think that it will take much abuse if your the kind of guy who just wants to throw it in a deck cabinet and put a bunch of junk on it, but with a little bit of care it seems like it should last at least a couple of years if not longer. I did not rate it 5 stars because I have only had it one year and don't now exactly how long it will last, but it work well and is a bargain at the price.

Picks up all trash in my pool

It worked well in smooth flat areas but not with my new inground fiberglass pool. It had too many curves and it got stuck by the steps. The good rating is for the customer service from the seller. They gave us alot of advice on trying to get it to work. We have had pool cleaners before with above ground pools, so we knew how to use. After trying, we still had no luck and they allowed us to return it. I think it could work well in certain pools and is worth a try,

Excellent for good money

I have had a couple Barracuda G3 models which have lasted a many years, but I have always had to replace the overly expensive internal rubber diaphragms inside them pretty often $$$. I have a dedicated line for a cleaner which shares the suction with the skimmer line. I used to have to pretty much close off the skimmer completely for the Barracuda to even move..... HOWEVER, that is not the case with the Xtreme power cleaner!!! This vac has a LOT of suction as I just barely have to open the suction to it and it moves like crazy. The hoses do appear to be thinner than the others, but hey it works... and the price is so much less that I can not complain.

The cleaner is very nice. It cleans the bottom of the pool extremely well. I would have given it five stars; however, it is difficult to get it to cover one small area of the pool. I know other people had a similar issue-even with other models-and I can live with that. It would be nice to have instructions that discuss more with respect to the placement of the weights, adjusting speed if possible, and other adjustments. Frankly, the instructions are trash.However, for the price the unit is excellent.

Does a great job. Can sometimes take a little more effort to get it to prime but it blows the stupid $200 vacuum from the pool store out of the water! I was very surprised the hose it came with is really durable, I figured it wouldn't be given the price. I even bought an extra hose figuring i'd save a frustrating trip to the pool store however, I wasted money there assuming it would be crap. It is well worth the money.
