Fit well. It has been a week and still working well.

We have purchased this heating element twice. The first time was 3 years ago and we had no issues until it gave out a few days ago. My husband installed the 2nd heating element last night, so we're hoping to get another few years out of this one. We aren't super handy DIYers around our house, but my husband was able to install this heating element easily by himself both times with no issues. Everything fit perfectly. It's a great value considering the price of the part vs replacing the whole dryer. We're happy with the durability of this heating element since the first one lasted 3 years with regular use.

The SUMNEW heating element worked for 28 months, which is rather typical. The previous, from Azdele, lasted about 3 years. Now replacing with Tomoon's element. Will see. They all look the same. I did not replace thermistor or thermo fuses, just tested that 20 years old OEM ones work. Original OEM element worked almost 15 years. This repair is easy anyway, and a good occasion to remove the lint that somehow gets inside the machine.

I always use the following settings - Temperature - "Extra Low" and "Normal Dry" for clothes or Temperature - "Extra Low" and "More Dry" for things like towels. This choice of settings, I've found, not only prevents damage to my clothes but also extends the life of my dryer. I am single but very active, therefore I use my dryer 3 times a week. I purchased this heating element on January 22, 2022. It lasted 3.5 years. Thanks to videos online, it is an easy fix but takes a couple of hours. In addition, I keep my dryer exhaust hose very clean and use a drill-mounted brush to clean the vent hose. The Samsung OEM element lasted 4.5 years. If you use high heat settings and don't maintain your dryer exhaust pipe, it may last 2 years or less. Good Luck!

Just installed and upon startup, the dryer tripped the breaker. Opened it back up to check all my connections then tried a second time with the same result. Upon further inspection what I found was that a part of the heating coil was stuck to the assembly thus shorting itself out. Tweaked it to disengage and it works fine now. Will see how long it lasts as I see other reviews not pleased with longevity. This is the third time in 9 years I’ve had to replace it so I’ll take it as it’s cheaper to repair than replace. I did not take a before pic but circled the area where the problem was found.

*update: seller contacted me and kindly sent me a new item. Thank you. This item only worked for 3 months. I contacted the seller and they said there was no warranty beyond the return date. So that’s a complete waste of my time and money. Stay far away from this product and seller

Installed this unit on my Samsung dryer after it stopped heating in March. This seemed like a great deal for a replacement part; however, it is now earlier October and my dryer is not heating again. I have checked to make sure lint did not get trapped in the coils and nothing. Looks like I will be ordering yet another replacement from a different seller!
