I'm sorry, is it really $40 for just this plastic clip? That seems like a crazy price for that?

Question 2

It looks like the alignment rod (or driver) would either block or show up on the phone's camera if you have it positioned like the pictures do...?

When you switch your camera phone to selfie mode (so the front of the phone is the camera) the stick does not show. And you have the added benefit of being able to see yourself in the phone to know if you are lined up correctly to be in the frame.

Question 3

I lost the clip which attches to my bag..Can I get replacement without buying entire apparatus?

Can’t you stick the alignment stick into the ground and attach this with phone?  Doesn’t seem like you’d need your bag.

Yes. That is thé easy way.  It is a good product. If you cannot access thé ground, simply attach it to your bag or something else.
