It's a Tiger!

The book was in great condition upon delivery. Looking forward to using it at an art camp for kids. The story is playful and great for theatrical read aloud time.

This story was written in such an engaging way and the illustrations are bright and bold. My toddler loves this book and now pretends to see tigers everywhere. High quality product in every way.

My granddaughter (21 mos.) was coming to visit, so we stopped at our local public library for about 10 books to read during her stay. The only one she wanted to read over and over again was "It's a Tiger!". We returned the books to the library afterwards. As her 2nd birthday was approaching, my daughter said "no more toys ~she has enough!" but maybe get her that "Tiger" book. I didn't have the exact title or author's name, but looking through my recycling I found the library receipt. I was so thankful - I found the correct title and called the library to get the author's name. She opened the book today and squealed with delight. She is able to repeat several of the words and the artwork is delightful. It is destined to be one of her favorite books and according to our local newspaper, the author just won another literary book award!

My daughter is almost 2, and we got this book as a gift. I think my daughter learned to walk JUST so she could find this book, smack me with it and make me read. She has always wanted to read this book, to the point I had to hide it just so I could read something else.Some of my daughter's first words came from this book. The repetitive "It's a tiger!" is her favorite part, with the word "tiger" being one of her first words! The illustrations are well done, and the pages large and colorful. We still read this book, as we can go through to identify and find things hidden in the jungle, and I'll often grab this book to work on colors (blue snakes vs green snakes).This book is still my daughters favorite, to the point I bought 2 more just to have around for baby-shower gifts! She unfortunately loved her copy to death, and there's more packing tape holding it together than anything else. She is not gentle. Highly recommend!

This is such a great book. The author, David LaRochelle, also has a wonderful book about nasty green beans. Additional, "It's A TIGER!" has wonderful art. We have three children (ages 1-6) who love the book. We've bought five copies to give to friends who are having baby showers and birthday parties and will likely purchase more.It's so important to read to our children every night. This book makes it pleasant for parents too!

One of my son's favorites. He grabs it off the shelf and asks me to read it to him almost every day. The interactive nature of this book makes it perfect for playtime (warning: not a bedtime book :D) and it's also fun to read aloud to a group of kids. My nephews listen to it over Zoom and the book is that great - it can keep them engaged over video!

My niece is 5 and LOVES this book! She loves to read the “It’s a TIGER!” and noise words (bumpity-bumpity-bump-bump-bump, etc.). I love the loud/quiet juxtaposition that makes it really fun to read aloud.

My 2 1/2 year old just lives this book and runs around exclaiming “It’s a TIGER!” The illustrations are cute and the story is fun.

My son loves pretending he's the one swimming, jumping etc as we read the book. very creative book if you make your kid do the movements

Je ne savais pas quand nous lisons le livre la première fois si ce serait un succès avec notre fille de 3 ans. Nous avons acheté sur la force de notre amour des livres sur les oiseaux Boo Boo. Cependant, nous avons eu à le lire jamais soirs pendant un mois et de comptage. Maintenant, elle crie «tigre! 'Out avec plaisir et nous avons un grand moment. Recommanderais certainement.

We got a tiger musical instrument to use with this - a great story with a fun loud ending... just knocked off a star because it would be better as a board book for my needs. Obviously this wouldn't be an issue for older children.

Love this book! Got it as a gift for my friend’s daughter for her birthday. She loves it! Really fun and interactive. She loves joining into the part: “it’s a tiger! Run!” I need to find other books as good as this one!

We have a 3 and 5 yr. old and this is their favourite book! Our boy took it to kindergarten when he was “friend of the week” and all the kids went crazy for it. It’s not a bedtime story, however. Kids need to run when the story says, “Run! It’s a tiger!” (Of course it never is, until the end.) Delightful book.
