746451 5" Bump Cutting Head

This fits my 32cc TBC-340PFD Straight Shaft String Trimmer / brush cutter. It comes with multiple adapters for other trimmers, although I have no idea what others it may fit. The head is constructed with a slightly different design than the original but it works great, and holds a bit more line.I might buy a second, while they are available.

This is a solidly built accessory. Most of the time it works very well, but once in awhile a single bump releases too much string. Hence the ding of one star.

The original head finally split on my almost decade old trimmer. The oem replacement isnt available so I gave this one a shot. It fits perfectly and even came with a thread adapter I guess for other trimmers. But no adapter needed! Good replacement for a tcg31ebslp

Don't buy it .buy OEM it didn't fit my Tanaka trimmer. even if did you can tell it is a poor knock off. I ended up throwing it away.you have been warned.

It fit ok after using one of the included adapters, and worked fine until we lost some of the parts while changing string...the little guide for the string falls out very easily as they are not held in place and also it is very easy to lose the spring...the trimmer will not work properly without these parts. I like it ok...not as much as the original, but when refilling string be careful not to lose parts.

Have had my Hitachi string trimmer for almost 10 years and the head was really showing and acting its age. Found this replacement, which was an exact match. 10 minutes and now my trimmer has a brand new head. Works like a champ.

I first bought this replacement head in July of 2022 but one of the eyelets that the string passes through broke pretty quickly. Maybe one season into it. I crazy glued it; when that didn't work, I epoxied it back together but nothing would hold for more than one use. No room to get some sort of mechanical fixation in there. I was still able to use it thankfully, but it's a hassle to change out the string while carefully balancing the broken off piece in the head.I bought this new one and I'm keeping the old one because there's one good eyelet left on it which I hope I don't have any reason to use.

After trying several other heads, it was the only head I could find to fit the Tanaka TBC-340PFD.
