Chums Transporter Case

I bought one of these cases many years ago from a local outdoor store (EMS, I believe). One of the best eye-wear cases I've ever owned. Large enough for most any size glasses. This new one from Amazon is identical in construction, but came with a sticky zipper. Repeated zipping and unzipping seems to have partially fixed the problem, which means I'll keep the case, but Amazon and its suppliers should do a better job of product testing and quality control before shipping items.

I bought one of these at a store for my son's sunglasses. We've been very happy with it. I bought my son 2 more pair of sunglasses and knew I wanted more of these cases so I looked on Amazon to see if I could find them and I did. I was very happy.

This performs as advertised. Big enough to hold large sunglasses and is hard enough to protect them. The belt loop is also a nice feature, though I would have made it a bit bigger, will not slide on a very wide belt. I think the product could be improved further by adding a caribiner clip so it could be clipped to belt loop, but you can easily add one yourself. I would have also added some type of elastic tie down on the inside so that glasses don't bounce around. If you have smaller glasses, then they will bounce around in this case with nothing to hold them down.

Not much to it. Well constructed and it works. Chums makes good stuff. Narrow though, so your glasses need to fold relatively flat. Would be nice if it had a place to attach a lanyard.

This product does not hold its shape well. The top lid folds over the base when the zipper is closed. The material does not offer much protection for your glasses.

Great fit for large sized Oakley’s.

Fine Product

I like this case a lot, but it does not fit the glasses that I bought to hold. This Chums case is sturdy and zips nicely to keep the glasses secure; however, based on the advertisement, I expected it to be larger. Fortunately, I was able to buy another pair of glasses that the case fits well. I subtracted one star because the glasses that I purposely bought this case to protect are still without a case.

Product delivered does not match the picture on the ad (black on black). Light grey zipper on a black case is what was delivered. Does however seem reasonably sturdy, and will fit the Raybans nicely.
