well built
makes my loft roon which is about 5m by 7m very cool. I vent it out of the window with a fluffy blanket covering the gaps. This does the job fine. It is a little noisy but I think thats standard for these kind of products. It is very heavy though. its expensive but I think it seems to be very well built and does the job so i cant complain. I will be trying it in a huge kitchen diner, with lots of glass later this year and will update accordingly. I dont think the unit is "spec'd for a room that big but lets see how it goes!

Worth it!
Firstly, this did NOT come with a window bracket and the cord is quite short. It also isn't silent but not deathening either! Update: we've experienced really hot humid weather, past 2 years and this has been AMAZING. Definitely worth the investment.

Sturdy, quiet and cooling
Got this as a replacement for a cheaper generic unit that broke within a few uses. The noise level (even on high) is about the same as a desk fan, the exhaust hose is sturdy, and it cools my living room quickly. At 30kg a single person wouldn’t be able to move between floors, but it is easily movable on its wheels on carpet and hard floors. The plug could be longer. All in all, for an old model I would by it again if the price was right (it’s gone up £60 since I bought mine)A window kit isn’t included

Overpriced
Summary:Pros:-Easy set-up-Good build qualityCons:-Overpriced: Can buy much cheaper units (~£250) that work just as well.-Doesnt cool as well as expected-"Silent mode" is not silent appears just to turn the fan off which is not the loudest part of the unit.In Detail:States it use for a 80m2 room, really this is a useless measurement and should give a volume rather than an area.My room is about 20m2 (~50m3), today it's 30c outside and I set it up to cool to 16c. But it only seems to be cooling down to around 23c. This is with blinds down too, so no sunlight getting into the room. The vent which it blows out of is not adjustable, which I'd recommend getting one that it's.I purchased this for my work accomodation, since several others at work have purchased other probable AC units. There units work just as well sometimes even better and they purchased for around £200-300. So personally if I would choose to buy a cheaper off brand one if I had the choice again. The unit is about as lound as any other AC unit. So if you're a light sleeper like me keep that in mind. The sleep mode just turns the fan off, which is about as loud as a desk fan. The unit it's self still makes a noise which is the loudest part of it. So I wouldn't particular buy it because of this feature. It doesn't make much difference. Finally, the price of this product seems to increase around the summer, highly advise looking in the winter if you can hold off for cheaper deals.

Excellent performance, however noise is a bit much for a bedroom.
I liked the performance and the ability to chill the room. I understood that there would be noise even on the quietest setting, however this was just too much. The return process was also a pain as the buyer has to organise the return and pay for it. The manufacturer recommends Hermes, and they wont pick up anything over 15kg, so I used DPD. You will be looking at a steep bill for shipping with courier insurance for a £500 product.

Good AC but too pricy!
If you are among those who melt and must be kept cool during sticky summer times, then this is a good option. However, it suffers from high price and short ducting for its air outlet. The latter is a problem with most AC's; consider duct extensions. I must say I have had it for around only two months, so I can't comment on any long term issues, if any.

Bought this item last year and it was the best gift I could have given to my wife . She suffers with the heat in the hot weather but this product has made it so much better for her. It’s quiet , energy efficient, easy to move around from room to room , and looks slim and easy on the eye . Thank you Amazon
