I received a bar of this as a Christmas present and was immediately in love with the smell.I initially used it to wash my hands and found it to work up a great lather, but then became interested in the odor control aspect and its versatility for washing hair also.I have very fine, thin, oily hair and was hesitant. I can’t express how impressed I was with the end result. My hair was soft, fluffy and manageable and didn’t appear to get as oily as fast as it had in the past.I use this as a shampoo twice a week, using my regular shampoo the other days, to avoid the potential of stripping necessary oils.I wish there was a conditioning bar to go along with it, I’d be all in! 😊

I bought this yucca soap to wash my hair with it once a month or so since I love Native American skin and hair care! This yucca soap doesn't have much of an smell - at least mine didn't but I loved the fact that it lathers really well and comes in ZERO plastic which is something very important to me. I have switched to buying soap bars since over a decade now so no more plastic bottles for me and the dogs..!I also felt that while I love the purity and the quality of the soap, for the price the bar could be n ounce or two more..! It is a very small sized bar especially as compared to other soap bars with high quality ingredients. Other than that, I would say buy it and you will love it especially because the company's customer service is excellent - my package got lost and Maggie took excellent care of the issue so I have to say I am definitely going to be a repeat customer as I highly value good customer service.Happy to support a small business and that too, made in the U.S...! with ZERO plastic.

I love this shampoo bar. My hair is super clean and more voluminous, shiny, and healthy in my opinion. I don’t wash my hair everyday. I wash my hair every other day. I received my order the middle of November and by the beginning of February I needed to reorder. I have very long wavy/curly hair so I don’t like to put much,if any, shampoo on my ends. I scrub my scalp and hold the bottom part of my hair out of the water as I wash the shampoo out of my hair. I use a conditioner bar on my ends.Some people said this gave them residue on their hair? This has never happened with me. I also have oily hair and it doesn’t make my hair any more oily. I’m surprised of their negative reviewSome people were complaining about the price. I think it’s reasonable for the ingredients. It’s not that much more expensive than getting it at the store so I’m not sure what people are whining about. I had to wash my hair a few times with the shampoo I used before. My hair was weighed down and got greasy so quickly. I definitely noticed a difference. I will keep buying this as long as they have it. Love it !!UPDATE: This does not get rid of dandruff. In the winter my scalp ALWAYS seems to be flaky. This bar hasn’t changed that. I think I may get a different shampoo bar for the winter and use this one for the warmer weather. I still love this shampoo bar.

I feel like it’s made my hair a bit fuller—less light and patchy. I feel it whatever is in would make a better style and nourishment product. I use it to clean and strengthen hair and bring the waves in—I’m a black man with coarse hair. Takes a little extra work to build up a good lather. Has a good scent too.

I liked how this particular soap made my skin look and how it made it feel. The smell isn't the best but thankfully it doesn't longer.

I love this soap! It smells great (I find it almost spicy, a little like cinnamon), and the botanical oils in it leave my skin soft, even now that it's winter. I also really like that they use minimal packaging--scraps of spare cardboard, apparently--and that the soap is all natural. (On a side note I also love their Honey Oat body balm--it's really helped my prone-to-cracking lips, especially when worn overnight). As much as I love the Yucca Root soap as a...well..as a soap, I washed my hair with it a few times since it's also a shampoo bar, and it left my already oily hair feeling very heavy and waxy. (The vinegar rinse that they recommend did help, though, and I actually like it so much I've stopped using conditioner and use only vinegar water). To be fair, they do say to give it at least a week to adjust to a natural shampoo, so maybe I was just too impatient. All in all, a great product and I'm glad I found it. I have a few of A Wild Soap Bar's other kinds of soap coming in the mail and I can't wait to try them!

I’m not enthusiastic about this product. For me, it rates as just ok…if that. The tea tree scent is rather strong IMO and my husband agrees. Works about the same as something half as expensive and easier to find 🤷‍♀️ Maybe all the great reviews were paid for or they just like the scent more than we do but yeah, just ok. Making up a homemade sugar scrub works better than this bar for the body without leaving you feeling like you need a rub down with a vat of oil after using it and as a shampoo, maybe for people with short hair? I have shoulder length and very thin and wow it took a while so I think I’ll stick with the love and planet unless I find something better. Too expensive and shipping took way too long to be what it is. Hope this information helps.

This is the best soap ever. I use it all over and even on my beard. It has a light natural smell, no strong chemical smells here. It helps to get the smell out of anything I've been doing, like chlorine from the pool, or sunscreen. Really great soap!!!
