I originally got a pair of these to use one for papaya enzymes as a tenderizer. It worked well so I also used the second for glucomannan. I'm using a third for allulose. The screen seems fine for those purposes. For some herbs it would be too fine. I like the finish quality. I keep the threads clean so the lid works well and seems to fit fine. A tap on the counter after using keeps it from clogging or getting messy before I replace the plastic cover. I may return for more.

Great for micro seeds like thyme

I make a lot of bread so i keep flour in these for dusting. The caps are sometimes difficult to pop off but im satisfied overall. They work best when filled halfway.

I think these shakers are the perfect size for what I need them for. I bought them specifically for sprinkling a cocoa powder/cinnamon mixture on top of the tiramisu I made during the holidays. Since then, I have used the 2nd shaker with powdered sugar to put on top of baked pastries. In both cases, these shakers worked perfectly. Since they're not something I use all the time, they are the perfect size so that I don't have to leave a lot of product in the shakers. I'm not experiencing the problem with the plastic cap that some other customers are having. In fact, I really like that the plastic cap is a nice tight fit on the shaker and I don't have to worry about it popping off and spilling. I haven't had any problems with the mesh lid coming off when I take the plastic cap off either. I found if you don't screw the mesh lid all the way, yes, you can just pull it off with little effort (even without the plastic cap). But if you screw the mesh lid all the way, it's pretty tight and you can't pull it off. Overall, I'm very happy with these shakers and would recommend them.

I don’t like the lid. It does the job but the lid is annoying and you end up unscrewing the top.

BEWARE BUYING THIS!!! The lid doesn’t open properly and when opening it the powder goes everywhere. I have tried to return it and get a refund and the owner all they want to do is give a partial refund. I had to get Amazon to step in and try to get my money back. Don’t bother buying. Terrible item and terrible customer service!!!

I purchased these as I was tired of needing to pull out my sifter for certain things. I used one for cinnamon and one for icing sugar. It was a little pricy for a small container but the quality is really good. The clear lid ontop actually snaps into place so I dont need to worry as much about them spilling too easily. The only concern with the clear lid is that it can almost be a little too hard to remove, but I rather that than too easy. They dont have any smells. They were easy to wash. They work really well and dispense evenly. I would recommend these.

Simple but effective

The plastic cover is so tight on top that every time i try to take it off it removed antire top including sifter. Now, have to choose, either not to put plastic cover at all or just keep it loose on it- which is useless. It came only in plastic bag, Not protected at all against the travel abuse. Came dented on multiple spots. Sender could pack it in box instead!!
