HoneyGuaridan S25 Automatic and Intelligent Pet Feeder, Timer and Programmable Serving Portion Food Dispenser with Simple-Design iOS and Android App

In November 2017 I bought this pet feeder, my cat needed to lose weight, at least 600gr. I did not want to have him on a strict diet by feeding him only twice a day, so I was advised to get this one, so he could have something to eat all day, I started to feet him 8 times a day 8 grams per serving. In December 2018 I went to the vet with him for his yearly check up, and he had lost 800gr! So, happy and healthy cat and a very happy owner.

Doesn't connect to the wifi. Poor quality.

Really impressed with this - once set up its easy to alter if you need to and im confident cat gets fed when im away - it is an expensive piece of kit so a considered purchace but i am happy i went for it - so much peace of mind. With first order there was an issue with delivery but dealt with by company and amazon promptly and courteously.

Impossible to connect to the network. The app doesn’t keep the connection to the device. Sent it back. Quick refund. It seemed great, good quality I will maybe try another one it was maybe just bad luck.

Thought I was happy with it. But after 5 weeks my cat gain weight instead of that he lost it. Want to give him 50grams a day, divided over 8 meals. But sometimes he gives 5, than 4, but also 8 or 10 grams. Seller has no solution yet. If there comes none i will return it.

If you are looking for the convenience of feeding your pet from anywhere this a great pet feeder. I have uploaded a video review but I cover a few things here as well. It just so happens that this feeder fit my needs perfectly. I wanted to be able to feed our outdoor cat while we are away, and I also wanted the food to be safe from other wild animals, and this feeder does that perfectly. We kept running into the issue of wild critters eating all of the cats food each night. With the lock on this container and us having control over each amount fed, this helps us to make sure no food will be left overnight. If we had relied on a gravity fed feeder I am positive the wild critters would have ate our cats supply on the first night, so at least with this feeder we can have peace of mind that the food will remain through the week we go on vacation. The feeder is very simple to set up. 1. Scan the QR App code 2. Create login/account info on the app 3. Set your pets profile 4. Enter your Wifi information so the feeder can connect to it 5. Bind your device to the feeder so you can connect to it from anywhere That's It! You can also program the feeder with a personal message for your pet as the food is dispensed, details are in the manual. I will say the unit of measurements is in grams, so you may have to get use how much is dispensed based on the amount you chose and figure out how much you need to dispense daily. I prefer to only use the fast feed option, but you can certainly set your feed plans as well. My wife and I have tested this multiple times while one of us was away to press feed, and the other stayed home to confirm it accurately fed and so far we are very happy with this feeder and its reliability. I was pleasantly surprised and how well the app seemed to be built, it feels like a quality and reliable app. I do not have any real complaints about the feeder, I did notice the plug is usb and no usb wall adapter was included but I have so many already it was not needed. Voici ma réaction à chaud après plus d’un an d’utilisation quotidienne La mise en service est simple, et l’application Android est assez ergonomique, même si la traduction de certains termes restent incertains en Français. Cependant, IL NE FAUT ABSOLUMENT PAS CE FIER AUX VALEURS DE L’APPLICATION ! Je m’explique : Mon chat à pris énormément de poids depuis la mise en place de cet équipement (+2kg en un an, alors qu’il pesait 4 kg environ en décembre 2019). Suite à ce verdict, j’ai effectuer l’essaie suivant sur le distributeur : Une distribution de 80gr. de croquette en 1 fois depuis l’application. Le résultat et afférant : 150gr. De croquettes distribué, soit 87 % de plus que ce que j’avais demandé ! Suite à mon essais, j’ai demandé à un amis ayant le même modèle de distributeur de faire un essais, et les résultats sont pratiquement identique ( près de 2 fois trop de croquettes distribuées) Après ces découvertes, j’ai examiner le mécanisme de distribution, et tout est devenus clair : Il n’y a à aucun moment une prise de mesure de la masse distribuée dans la gamelle. La distribution est effectué de cette manière : les croquettes stockées dans le compartiment supérieur tombent dans une roue à godets (comprenez une roue divisée en plusieurs compartiment de volumes égaux). Lors de la distribution, cette roue à godets va tourner, permettant la distribution d’un certin nombre de godets (compartiment). Ce qui signifie que la valeurs distribué n’est en aucun cas pondérale (c’est à dire liée à la masse), mais volumétrique ! Et c’est là tout le problème, vu que l’application propose de programmé les distributions que sur des valeurs pondérale ! Ma théorie est la suivante : afin de rendre l’application la plus simple d’utilisation pour le commun des mortel, cette dernière doit avoir une valeurs par défaut pour la masse volumique des croquettes. Et c’est cette valeur qui est utilisé pour la distribution, selon la formule suivante : (Volume du godet) X (Nombre de godets distribué) X (Masse Volumique d’une croquette) = Masse de croquette distribuer. Et dans mon cas, cette valeur de masse-volumique est trop basse, (près de 2 fois trop basse), ce qui explique les résultats des essais décrits plus haut Ceci étant dit, le distributeur fonctionne bien, le mécanisme de roue à godet est simple et efficace. Je vais donc continuer à utiliser cet équipement. Mais il va falloir que j’expérimente pour déterminer les réglages à adopter pour une distribution adapté à mon chat.

I purchased two of these things, both times failing to get the feeder connected to the network. I chalked the first device failure up to hardware equipment, so I decided to give HoneyGuardian a second try. Neither time was I able to get these connected to WiFi, even after trying multiple smart devices AND wireless routers. The Machine: The machine looks great, but the quality control is poor. The very first device I purchased had a broken wireless antennae wire. It was obvious when I pulled out the food hopper why the first machine I purchased was not connecting to WiFi. Unfortunately it took me a few hours before I figured out the problem. The second device, I gave up after about an hour. The antenna appeared to be in good shape, at no point would the machine attempt to connect to WiFi. It was clear the product was sub-par, and I decided I was done with Honey Guardian. The App: The app written in very poor English, and the app permissions are EXTREMELY overkill. Why do they need my access to my locationvia GPS? Why do they need to know my phone number, and numbers I am actively calling? Why does it need to know what other apps I am running? Best case the permissions appear to be careless, worst case they are gathering unnecessary information. The Support: Can it get any worse? I didn't even get a reply to my support request. The HoneyGuardian web page indicates "Send a message to us via the following contact form, usually you will receive a reply within 24 hours." I sent in a request the first time I had problems. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. As far as I am concerned, the product has been abandoned.

Overall good product. It's nice to be able to feed my cat from anywhere. Great for animals that like to overeat as mine does. I've had this product for over a month and my cat hasn't been able to tip or pop the lid off yet (which he has been able to do on other feeders). Some of the cons start with the item not coming with a power plug, (only comes with a USB cord) which is pretty cheap considering the price. The support app is lacking for scheduling routine feedings (it's much easier to use the manual feedings function). Aslo, there is no battery back up on this unit, so there is no way to feed your pet if the power goes out (it also won't work if your wifi goes out).
