SPI Home 33146 Frog on Mushroom Hose Guard

This hose guide was a bit pricey but oh-so-cute. Unfortunately, in it's first season of use if broke. I would not buy it again.

purchased umbrella bunny, humming bird, and now Mr. Frog (on mushroom). well made and very sturdy. these are GREAT. they are very functional, but way too attractive (dare i say cute?!?) to just use as hose guards, so we placed them more as ornaments on the walkway. still functional, but now visible to be appreciated by all. have to say - umbrella bunny my favorite.

This frog does a good job of guiding my hose where I need it to go. Very sturdy; adds a bit of visual interest at the same time.

Works great to protect plants from being broken down by the garden hose. Just need to order more!

This hose guard is a lot more solid than the others by this same manufacturer. The others look really cute, but are more fragile and harder to stick into the ground.

I love to see this little fellow in the yard. And it handles the hose perfectly.

I have an assortment of these and they really add character to my garden. They also do the job of keeping my hoses off my plants. I wish there were more designs as I would get even more. The metal is so much better than the plastic garden accents but is more expensive.

This guard is a nice garden accent, but tripping over it once broke the frog off the base. The base has a very short protrusion on which the frog is attached by a short tube of weak metal (sintered powdered metal). If this item were just a decoration, that would be acceptable, but a hose guard is supposed to be a pretty robust item, and should not break under these circumstances. Given the high price of the item, I expect to enjoy it for years, not must for one week!
