Great for vanlife
This is my second such product and this one is much better quality. I'm really happy with how sturdy it is and how well-built. It's easy to adjust and is working great! It places my laptop at a height that is easier on my neck when using my computer on my bed.

Keeping for adjustable height but the design is indeed flawed
I bought this primarily to use as a laptop stand in bed or on the couch when I'm not feeling well, but also to use as a stow-able stand for a projector at home. Verdict: I'm keeping this stand to use as a stand for a projector at home, but I won't be using it as a laptop desk as often as I thought. The flawed design means there aren't as many STABLE angle/height configurations as I would've liked but I had read other reviews before buying and knew this was a possibility. However, I have not played around with all possible stable configurations because it is so finicky to adjust. Pros: - I love the flexibility of having adjustable height - fits over my lap, even when it's at the widest part of my body (hips). There are 16.5" between the topmost legs, and 18.75" between the middle legs, where my body usually fits. - Very breathable under my laptop due to the metal tray with plenty of holes (I chose this listing specifically because it had more holes than other similar items) Cons: - The bottom two legs should be longer and the top leg should be shorter to achieve a wider range of stable configurations. All 3 legs are the same length because it looks a lot nicer and takes up less space when folded down but it means that at many angle combinations, it tips over, unfortunately. If you keep the tray as close to parallel with the bottom leg as possible, it is less likely to tip over once you put something heavy on it (like a laptop). It also helps if you scoot the laptop up on the tray away from the lip, or avoid baring down weight solely on the hinge where the lip is. One of those long keyboard wrist pads along the lip will help for ergonomics and for positioning the laptop. - The legs can turn in 360 degrees but they can't lock in all 360 degrees. The notches on the buttons are the only available angles in 15 degree increments. This further limits the number of stable configurations possible. - The limited number of stable configurations does make it a pain to fold & unfold. My advice is to write down the angles from top to bottom for different uses so you don't have to figure it out each time, and so it doesn't take up space leaving it unfolded. For example, I have a combination that works for the projector and for sitting up in bed/couch while typing on the keyboard (45-75-45). I have a different combination for lying down reclined. If I use a separate keyboard or just watch a movie, I'd probably have different configurations for those too. - The legs are a little finicky to adjust for sure. My tip is to hold down on the buttons as far as possible and wiggle the leg gently until it goes all the way down. - It's also not ideal for an uneven or lumpy surface. I definitely need to make sure I find the right spot and don't move around too much in bed. Having more locking angles for the buttons would help with this but in reality probably isn't possible for the needed load bearing specs while keeping the slim size & lightweight materials.

Excellent for holding keyboard, trackpads
I spent a couple hours trying to pick the best one of these folding-leg stands before selecting this one. Now I have it so I want to help other buyers make an informed decision. My need was for a stand to hold my keyboard and trackpad while standing in front of a screen raised up on a pneumatic arm. My five-star rating is for my use and I note where people with other needs might have a different experience. * The platform is metal, sturdy, attractive. I prefer the holes to the fans that some other trays have because I don't have a laptop on it. The platform can be used with either side 'up' and the depth of the lip is a little different on each side which is good for different kinds of uses. (I use the side which most people would probably call the 'bottom', according to the illustrations on the web page.) * The legs are the exact same plastic legs found on many other models from other brands. Each joint swivels all the way around and locks tightly in place. I can imagine them being a bit annoying for people who want to change the angles frequently but my use does not require me to do that; I just set it and forget it, so I didn't mark the rating down for that. * I can imagine a person who puts a laptop on this might be annoyed by the screen jiggling during typing, although my guess is that this model is no more or less jiggly than any other. In any case the jiggling is not a problem in my setup so I did not mark down the rating for this. * I specifically chose this model because its legs are longer than other models. I am tall (6'5") so I needed a tray which would reach up to my hands when I stood in front of my desk. I am pleasantly surprised to say that this one is more than tall enough, and I do not even extend it to its full height. * I also specifically chose this model because it is wider than most. This model does not have a little side tray for the trackpad, so I had to fit my keyboard (a TrulyErgonomic, so no number pad) and trackpad onto the primary tray. They both fit, but just barely. They would not fit with a wider keyboard, but it was good for my keyboard so I did not mark the rating down for that. * Bonus: there are no logos displayed anywhere on this model. I don't like my gear to show logos. * Shipping was prompt. Packaging was appropriate. From my brief usage, I am fully satisfied. Thank you. Note to the seller: I particularly appreciated the diagram you included with the dimensions, especially the height. That diagram made my sale.

Stable and versatile
Has many different configurations that can be used for many purposes. I use it hold a laptop, but I also use it for holding books for eye-level reading. It is fairly sturdy. The joints and the main tray are made of metal, the straight part of the legs are made of plastic. If you set it up properly it is quite stable and can support a moderate amount of weight. I'm very pleased with its flexibility and the several different things I can use it for.

Quailty is lackluster but function is great.
The stand works great. When my back is hurting it is nice to have a lap best. I have a 35" waist and this sits perfectly around my waist with a couple inches to spare.

This folding laptop table desk was easy to assemble and works as expected. Just be aware that the item comes in the actual box so it is an easy target for porch theft. The box was not in the best shape upon arrival so we were a bit leary of the state of the contents. But the contents were fine.

Great stand, it took a little bit to get it adjusted since each side has to be adjusted separately. But I would definitely buy another one if I needed to.

The product is not super stable and can be used in only one or two configurations. The package shows some 20 various ways, but most of them are very unstable configurations. My piece arrived with the laptop base bent and damaged with scratches on it. The fan under it also does not function. Over all very typical Chinese quality product. So look for a better option.

Great for what I need it for! Not entirely travel friendly as legs of stand do not fold in behind the flat surface.
