Well, the description says "plates "... it's one plate. Plates with an "s" leads buyer to believe more than one plate is forthcoming.

Pretty but Made in China Not in the UK
These are very pretty. I really like the Spode Blue Italian and was living the discounted price. Some of the listed pieces included a video on how Spode makes their classic dish ware and mention how collectible Blue Italian. So it was surprising to see “Made i China” stamped on the bottom. It also says Spode Blue Italian so I don’t know if Spode moved their production to China or if all the pieces I bought are just knock-offs. I decided to keep and use they for everyday dishes despite what seemed like deceptive advertisement.
