PYREX Heavy Duty Griffin 1003 400mL Beaker Double Scale Graduated; Each

This is an ideal beaker for making coffee with an original Aeropress (but not XL). I tend to heat milk in a mug and froth it, so plunging the Aeropress into the same mug doesn’t work well. I’ve been using this daily and it honestly couldn’t be better. Its thick walls make it sturdy enough that pressing down on the plunger causes me no concern. The aeropress fits in the opening perfectly, the spout pours very well, and it cleans up easily!

Came to me quickly and in perfect condition. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and in a box inside of a box. The glass is sturdy. A little thicker than I’m used to but overall functions as it should.

I put mine inside my microwave with water, when I only have small amounts of food to heat up.

Seems like it will be a great plastic-free alternative for my immersion blender for smaller quantities. The glass is thick and feels durable. Went through the dishwasher well. Fits my immersion blender blade.

I bought this 400mL beaker to use as a drinking glass, specifically to give an experimental feel to my mixed drinks. It fits a 2 inch cube well with plenty of space for a strong double drink. Can also fit a 12oz beverage without the cube. The glass is thicker and has a rounded lip that is comfortable to drink from, just avoid the spout. However, unlike a normal drinking glass, the bottom is not thick, so I am gentle when placing ice cubes, mostly because the sound of the cubes hitting the bottom is not pleasant. A plus is that this glass is resistant to temperature shock. I have not used it to make coffee with a AeroPress but I have confirmed the filter holder will fit.

This Griffin beaker is just what I expected. Heavy duty and legitimate! Strong heavy glass that performs in a personal or laboratory situation.

The 1003 (400ml) is made of thick glass and it's the perfect size to press the Aeropress with confidence. It feels very nice to sip from it. Highly recommend. This is the second one I buy after the first one cracked in the bottom because I dropped a heavy ice cube on it. I had done it hundreds of times before but it hitted differently. Now I drop ice cubes at an angle to avoid.

So cute. I love it. It took forever to receive but it is worth the wait.
