Cleans the copper fouling quickly
I shoot Barnes solid copper bullets & this product makes quick work of any copper fouling. Easy to use, doesn't stink or scare you it is going to eat your barrel. I like Bore Tech products. The carbon cleaner works well also on the carbon ring. I use a bore scope to inspect & both products work great.

Good Cleaner
As a cleaner this product does an excellent job with no odor. I usually use Gunzilla (which I like a lot but does have a slight odor) and this cleans better. However, it is not a CLP like Gunzilla. I will continue to clean my barrels with Bore Tech but use Gunzilla on any parts that need lubrication like the bolt. I went to the range today and shot 15 rounds of .308. The attached photo is the first dry patch after about a 10 minute wait after applying Bore Tech with a wet patch only. I did not use any brushes to get this result. Hopefully you can see some blue from copper fouling which I never got from Gunzilla.Update: I bought 2 ounces of Copperzilla to compare (that's the largest bottle I saw). They work about the same both cleaning copper very well and neither smells. However, Bore Tech is about $1.62/Ounce while Copperzilla is $7.50/ounce. That makes it a no brainer for me, I'll use Bore Tech.

In 40+yrs this is BEST bore cleaner I've used!
Absolutely an amazing product!Every now and then I seen a guy at the range attempting to re-sight in his 30-06 Ruger Hawkeye complaining the barrel must be blown out, constantly bitching & complaining over several times to the range that the damn gun is done. So this last time while he was in deep frustration to shut him up I offered to buy the damn gun so I could concentrate on my own rounds, he said ok what do you want to pay... I said a $100.00 and threw a benjamin down, he said I'm done with this fricken gun it's yours. After I finished for the day I took the Hawkeye home and took out my bore scope and literally could not see any rifling because of the amount of carbon & copper buildup... CRAZY! So I recently bought this CU+2 to attempt to clean this gun with the hope's the barrel wasn't pitted out.I used a rubber chamber plug, stood the gun up and filled the barrel with this CU+2 for 24hrs. After draining the barrel then using a plastic brush through the barrel many many times, then about 25 dry patches later I finally got to a very light blue patch color. Repeated the Camber plug and filled the barrel for another 12hrs, then more runs with the plastic brush, then another 25 or so patches and low and behold the Hawkeye's rifling looked brand new and to my surprise had no pitting. This CU+2 product is an amazing product that was thrown at an extreme case of neglect and proved itself to be a very respectable product to have on any weapons owners shelf for future good buys from the range...lolAfter the cleaning and 10 rounds through it, it's now one of my favorite shooters, nice & light and fairly accurate for a production gun... 1.5-2" groupings at 250yrs with home loads. I've now added another reason for my range trips, potential good buys!

It Works!!!
I recently bought a borescope and realized all these years I've been cleaning my firearms... I haven't actually been cleaning my firearms! The carbon fouling isn't tough to clean, but the copper fouling I found in my barrels shocked me! I went through an entire bottle of Hoppe's copper solvent over the past two weeks (stinky stuff!), and it didn't get the job done. This CU+2 stuff just arrived yesterday, so I ran some wet patches down the barrels as suggested, but I decided to let it sit overnight. I just ran a dry patch down each barrels this morning, and the amount of blue (dissolved copper) was impressive! I think maybe two more rounds of this, and I should be good. This is third product I have tried now, and it is doing what the other two failed to do.

Great non-ammonia based copper remover
I typically use foaming bore cleaner and my cleaner stopped working due to loss of gas/propellant (had the can for something like 7 years). However cool it was to see the foam turn blue from copper, it never worked as well as I'd like in removing either carbon or copper. I tried the C4 Boretech carbon remover and was sold. I then tried their Copper Remover and am now a firm believer. I use Otis cleaning products for my rifles, including my 26" 300 Win Mag barrel on the Browning, but the brass patch loop and brushes tends to leave false positives. Aside from that, I found the Cu+2 works fairly fast. After 3-5 patches of this stuff, the bore is almost completely clean. I did a test on a small section with a Q-Tip soaked in Cu+2 and scrubbed the bore area near the muzzle where i could visibily see copper fouling. After a few seconds the copper was gone!I'm now a firm believe in this stuff. It's good to go! best of all it doesn't smell bad, doesn't contain ammonia, and seems very safe to use.
