Description:The TL-Smoother is an addon module for 3D printer stepper motor drivers. The board provides flyback diodes (freewheeling diodes) for the motor outputs, so that they are also protected against induction voltages in the unpowered state of the driver. On the basis of the module, add a heat sink, which can effectively solve the heat dissipation during the use of the module, reduce the hot conditions, and increase the life of the module.Parameter:Heatsink Size: 26mm * 20mm * 6mm / 1.02inch * 0.78inch * 0.24inchHeatsink material: AluminumTL smoother Size: 48mm * 25.3mm * 7.6mm(1.89inch * 1inch * 0.29inch)Weight: 0.02kg(0.04lb.)Features:1. 8 big Package(SMC)diodes provides better heat dissipation performance that can handle bigger motor than small diodes.2. Lower vibration lower noise smoother result.3. All the boards adopt a patch diode with a strong consistency, the signal is more stable and the service life is longer.4. How to use: Connect this TL-Smoother Module to the motherboard's corresponding drive socket and motor.TL-Smoother assembly instructions: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Kdq4FKcv4PRkuYbeoWxF_myPKDdfZud9XCIloQEaLqsPackage Including4 * 3D Printer TL-Smoother4 * HeatSink4 * Du-Pont Lines

Seem to work well
I bought these to try and remove a banding issue I was getting on my Aldi Balco i3 Duplicator Plus.I had no idea if they would work, a few places online said they had good results.Anyway, I installed them, used double sided thermal tape to secure them to the inner walls of the chassis so they can't be seen.I then did a ripple banding cube test print, there was not much of a change. So I decided to do a figure print, of a wizard.I set the layer height to 0.1mm which is pretty small, and left the print to it.Previous attempts at this print had diagonal lines across the surface, visable in the light. This most recent attempt had none of those. The noise of the motors is also less obtrusive, and there seems to be less vibration happening when the motors change direction. I did change the Jerk settings too.Anyway, for the price, its a worthwhile addition. I've seen some positive results.Im now printing 8 mini figures... At once with a 0.2mm thickness... Let's see how it handles this with these Smoother installed.

Works well with an Ender 3
I added two of these to my Ender 3 (PCB rev 1.1.3), one each on the X-axis and Y-axis. I put kapton tape over the exposed solder on the back of their circuit boards so that nothing could short out, cleaned the diodes with isopropanol and stuck the supplied heatsinks on, and managed to stuff them into the main electronics box. There has been no noticeable patterning on printed parts since, so I am pleased with this purchase.

Quietened down a noisy Delta
These smoothers worked a treat on a Delta that was a bit on the noisy side, and also eliminated evidence of some jitter on the surface of prints. Well worth the few £s it cost to buy and took moments to install.

Good upgrade for better print quality
Easy to fit, just stick on heatsinks, plumb into the motherboard, stick the cover on and you are done! There isn't any polarity to consider you literally just plug in and are done. Worth the few quid they cost.

Does not work with multiple machines.
Unfortunately i have to give 1 star as did not work at all with any of my printers. Tested on a stock CR-10, a CR-10 Mini, a Hictop CR-10 clone and a Qidi Tech 1. None showed any improvement on the salmon skin/Ghosting. In the case of the stock Cr-10 it actually made it worse.Bought two packets of smoothers (so 8 in total) and tested on the X/Y axis of all the machines simultaneously with the same print speeds and same filament and printed 3D benchys. The instructions are not particularly clear and the Du-Pont line's are not colour coded instead all in white wires with small symbols on them, none of which match the printers so its possible that they are not wired to be plug and play.

TL smoothers
Only 3 of the 4 TL smoothers worked.

WORKS
Easy to install, improved print quality, less noise, printer (cheap CTC ender clone) still works.

Well worth it
I got these as I saw getting Salmon skinning on some of my prints, after installing these that has now gone
