Some friendships transcend lifetimes. Picking up where A Dog's Purpose left off, Ethan's (Dennis Quaid) beloved dog Bailey (voiced again by Josh Gad) finds a new destiny: Protect Ethan's granddaughter CJ (Kathryn Prescott) at any cost. Bailey's adventure through multiple lives is filled with love, friendship and devotion as he and CJ experience joy and heartbreak, music and laughter, and a few really good belly rubs. Review: A Dog's Jouney - I want to begin this review by saying....I really suggest that you read the books first. The movies are absolutely able to be watched without reading the books but the books will bring so much more depth to the story. Also, this review covers both movies A Dog's Purpose and A Dog's Journey. As I said, both of these movies are fantastic. I want to say THIS right here is the way to do an adaptation. Most movie adaptations butcher a wonderful story (here's looking at you Dark Tower). These movies do NOT do that. Details below. The rest of this review may contain minor spoilers but I will try to keep them generalized and not specific. 1) Changes, additions, and omissions were made for the obvious time restrictions that a movie needs. In this case, those were beautifully handled. The changes and additions were actually done in a way that kept the essence of the story in tact while also helping to move the plot along. There are even a few changes to the story that I really liked. The change actually added to the story and was a wonderful decision. All I will say to point to which change I am referring to is "is that you boss dog?" as that particular plot point was not in the books. There were some major changes to the ending of the Clarity/Trent plot thread in this movie compared to the book. For one, some of the things that happened in the movie in their storyline were in a different order. They were decent changes that seem to have been rearranged so that the Clarity/Trent ending of the movie could be what it was. It does make me wonder if there is going to be a 3rd movie because those changes will make it very difficult to continue to follow the story of the books. I am very curious and will watch any next installment if/when it is made. 2) All of the actors did a fabulous job of portraying the characters from the book. The voice actor for Bailey was fabulous. He captured the worry, excitement, and tone of Bailey exactly as I imagined it in the books. 3) As for the target audience, I feel it is up to the parents. This book does show some scenes of death and abuse that maybe should be discussed with children while watching. Some kids will be able to handle/understand that better than others and the parents should know their child well enough to make that decision. It may be a good idea to prescreen the movie to be help make that decision. Overall..........I LOVE these movies. Review: Excellent movie - I adored this story and bought the book

Just Enough Cheese
A Dog’s Journey is a heartfelt and uplifting film that beautifully continues the story of loyalty, love, and connection between a dog and his humans. The story is emotional without feeling forced, and it captures both the joy and heartbreak that come with life’s changes. The dog’s perspective adds warmth and humor, making the story even more engaging. It is touching, family-friendly, and full of moments that remind viewers why dogs hold such a special place in the heart. I truly enjoyed it. Just enough cheese to keep me interested and not rolling my eyes..

A very nice story even children could enjoy
A very touching movie. It takes a little liberty with true Christianity, but overall a good movie.

Life Changing. Warm Hearted. 5 Stars.
A Dog's Journey is a lovely continuation of the 2016 film, A Dog's Purpose. It's the tale about Ethan and Hanna's granddaughter, and the story of the loving dog Bailey, who came back to help her. Her mother is an alcoholic who lost her husband, Hanna's son, when she was 8 months pregnant. Lost in her fear and the clouds, she doesn't give CJ the loving home she deserves. To help CJ along the way, Ethan told his dog, a St Bernard Australian Shepherd mix, formally a Red Golden Retriever, to try and come back to her to make her life as bright as he made Ethan's. The story captures the majority of Charity's life, and shows the heartache that she went through, in which many of us could relate to. If you open your hearts enough, this movie could seriously teach you lessons you never thought you'd need to learn. I found myself after watching this film, and every time it's over I have learned a new lesson, to a battle I wasn't even facing. It's super family friendly, and the actors are crazy talented. The dog's on set were treated with unconditional love and support as well. This DVD also shows behind the scenes, deleted scenes, and bloopers after the credits which can melt your heart full of laughter and hugs. So curl up with your puppy friend or the family, and enjoy this warm hearted story.

Make sure you get the tissues ready
I love this movie I bought the movie and I have already watched it in the short time that I have had it eight times and continue on we'll watch it more it's cheaper than going out to the movies to watch them and it's a family friendly movie. But get the tissues ready if you love animals like I do it is a sad movie but you might want to watch it before you let your kids watch it it's like I said some parents don't allow their kids to watch movies like this even though it is a family-friendly movie there's as far as I can tell no violence in it that would worry me about letting my kids watch it if they were at a younger age.

Lástima no haberme dado cuenta antes.
