Meguiar's Ultimate Compound - Pro-Grade Car Scratch Remover, Paint Correction Compound That Removes Defects While Adding Gloss and Shine, Single Stage and Clear Coat Scratch Remove, 15.2 Oz

Mequiar's Ultimate Compound is highly touted as better than all the rest. I cannot attest to that having not tried others but I can say it did its job. I caused some scratches in the paint of my wife's black 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. The black accentuated the scratches. They were deep enough to barely feel with a fingernail and were visually noticeable. After buffing using a Harbor Freight (HF) Orbital Buffer with the HF applicator pad and just a little pressure, I wiped off the residue (without letting the residue dry as the instructions seemed to want) I buffed it with the polisher pad. This time with only slight pressure. The scratches were virtually gone. I had get very close to them to barely detect them. I showed my wife who has an eagle eye for any slight disturbance. She observed she could see the scratches on very close inspection, but were undetectable unless you knew they were there. That was it. I was out of the dog house. Happy wife, I recommend the product.

I cannot begin to tell you that Meguiar’s will always lead the car detailing market. We had some “Chemical Guys” spray ceramic end up on our car (our son) it left a HORRIBLE mess. Anything CG should be banned, such a scam. I used this compound and a polisher to buff the car back out and remove all the residue. Our vehicle is back to showroom shine. Meguiars literally has never failed me! It’s shiny and smooth. I highly recommend this and anything Gold Class, people are always amazing at how good my cars look without ceramic coatings.

This review is about scratch remover use. My husband's pretty black truck became the favorite hang out spot for a cat that was apparently not as good at jumping that height as it thought it was. That cat scratched the heck out of the side of the truck. I bought this product to try it before he saw it (passenger side) on a hope and a prayer that it would work before we ended up with medical bills due to the impending heart attack due to the damage to his beloved truck. I rubbed it in a circular motion all over the scratches with one microfiber cloth, counted to 30 and then rubbed in circular motion with a clean microfiber. This was 2 applications in the pictures. There are a few scratches left, I will try another product as well but I can't complain. I hope I saved us in medical bills for now. Now..... to stop the cat from doing it again.... any ideas?

Oddly enough, I bought this to clean the glass stove top on my stove and not my car. however, I use this and it did tremendous amount of work with a buffer on my stove top. It did more than a glass cleaning stovetop. Did I highly recommend this if you want to use this to clean your stove top? I have not tried it on my car yet and I am going to as soon as I can get a sunny day. I attached a before and after picture, please make sure you use a buffer this gets and scratches deeper to repair them. I bought mine off Amazon for $17 and was shipped the next day.

This has been my go to brand for car care for 30 years. While I have strayed from time to time to experiment with other brands, I always find myself returning.I used this on my Midnight Blue vehicle which is essentially black, with great results, it was highly effective at removing the light swirls I was targeting.It’s easy to apply AND remove. I used a DA polisher and foam pad for application, and microfiber cloth for removal.Following the directions and using the right equipment and technique, you won’t be disappointed trusting this product on your dark paint.

Not as perfect a finish as my 3M compounds I only use on customers cars due to cost, This stuff is very good at what you need it for. Fact I keep a full selection of ALL Maguiars products in my home shop just cause THEY WORK!!!!Two Thumbs Up -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUY ANY MAGUIARS products!!!!

Great product but could give us more in a bottle

I have a metallic blue colored car and this stuff removed scuff marks and light surface scratches really well. The scratches by the door handle are gone! Deeper scratches required more scrubbing and repeat application. Those deep scratches are not entirely gone but it was an improvement, I was surprised it worked at all. I wish this came with a cloth or foam applicator. I used a microfiber towel (I already had at home) it was fine. I recommend working in a small area at a time to focus on the specific spot, it dries pretty fast so have the another microfiber towel ready to wipe away.
