Great pads for polishing. Easy to use, a good size and easy to grip. They are soft and don’t scratch.

I recently tried Meguiar's W4 Supreme Shine 4" Foam Applicator, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my car care routine. These applicators are designed with quality and performance in mind, making them perfect for applying waxes, polishes, and other detailing products. The foam is soft yet durable, providing a smooth and even application without scratching or marring the surface of my vehicle. The 4" size is just right, allowing for precise control and coverage, even in tighter areas. I found that the applicator holds the product well, minimizing waste and ensuring an efficient application process. One of the standout features is how easy it is to clean the applicator after use. A quick rinse with water and mild soap, and it's ready to be used again, maintaining its shape and effectiveness. Nice product. Works well. The reason for the 4 stars is because I originally received an open repackaged item with only three pads. Other than that, they are good.

I’ll state it at the start. These are amazing foam applicators! They’re soft enough to not damage car paint while tough enough to do a decent polish by hand if needed. They absorb product like a sponge so you won’t have to worry about working a foam pad “dry” on your paint/clear-coat which could leave swirl marks and/or scratches. On the downside is that they require a bit more product as they absorb some of it & it can get pretty messy if you apply too much pressure causing the absorbed product to ooze out. I’ld highly recommend working at a moderate pace with light pressure for waxing & moderate pressure for polishes. These are too soft to be used with compounds effectively. Compounding usually requires the use of a micro-fiber or terry cotton applicator pad as they are able to “bite” more into the clear coat to remove scratches & swirls. As for the clean up I have a few pros & cons. Overall, clean up is straight forward. Use any household soap (I used dish soap) or your favorite foam applicator cleaner (like chemical guy’s foam cleaner) along with some warm water to clean the pads. Do NOT put these in the washer! Most detergents contain colored dyes which will permanently stain these pads that color. I learned this the hard way because I was tired after I did a 15 hour paint correction for a pretty beat up black Mini. Tossed them in the washer & came back to blue foam pads. Imd highly recommend you air dry them after a wash. You could probably get away with setting your dryer on low heat, but remember that these are foam pads that can melt and I wasn’t about to risk ruining my very expensive dryer for a few foam pads. As for their durability I’d have to give them am only slightly above average rating as a couple of my pads have begun to form small tears around the edges, but for the price of each pad I’d say it’s acceptable especially after using them to polish & wax 2 sedans, 1 coupe, 1 large SUV, and a full size van. Again, I’d highly recommend these pads to anyone especially since they come in a pack of 4.

I use these to apply Meguire's interior leather treatment and cleaners, and of course the Gold Class Caranuba Wax. They are easy to control to avoid getting spread over. The light color helps to determine when its time to toss. Being foam it conforms to different surfaces.

I grabbed these pads for detailing work in my home studio and for my own car on weekends. The foam has a nice tight feel so product goes on even, not blotchy. I used one pad to lay down a thin coat of wax on my black hatchback and i didn’t get any weird swirl marks, which made me pretty happy. They’re small enough that I can control pressure with just a couple fingers. I keep one pad just for interior dressings and another for tire gel, so things stay clean and organized. After a wash with mild soap they bounce back and still feel smooth. Handy little pack that I actually reach for a lot during client mockup shoots and quick driveway washes.

The 4-inch size feels comfortable in my hand, and I used one pad to spread wax over the hood on a Saturday morning before running errands. The foam felt soft against the paint, and it helped me apply the wax smoothly without making a mess. I also used another pad for tire dressing, which was handy because I could keep that one separate from the pad I used on the body. Having four in the pack makes it easy to set one aside for each product, instead of stopping to wash and reuse the same pad. I like that I can hold the pad directly and work around smaller areas without dragging out a machine. After the quick wax, the car looked neat when I headed out, and that little bit of care made me glad I had these on hand. They fit easily in my car-care bin in the garage, so I can grab them the next time I have a spare half hour.

These pads are perfect for application of traditional wax or ceramic wax, and compounds and polishes too. They are machine washable but you only need to soak them in a bucket of hot water with the right detergent: To remove car wax products, soak them in hot water with a few drops of dish detergent that lifts grease. Wax is released when you wring them out. Repeat if necessary To remove compound or polish products, spray 'all purpose cleaner' on them, let them stand for a few minutes, and soak in hot water with a few drops of all purpose cleaner in the water. Again, wring them out. Repeat if necessary. Overall pretty happy with these pads. You can get a few uses out of them if you clean them right.
