Have used it several times since purchase, recovered all but 1 lure. Should have bought one along time ago

Does not look like it's well.made. but If it works then not a big deal. So I have mixed feelings.

Works Well. Replace The String
This is my 2nd one. First one worked well and recovered 8 or 10 lures during its 2 year life. The other day, the string broke while using it. As soon as the new one gets here, I’m replacing the string, and adding 3 feet of 20 lb stainless leader material between the new string and the red retriever.

Upgrade line first thing...Went right over slipbobber retrieve my 9$ lure..several times...

Short line
I haven’t tried it yet but I felt the retrieve line was short. If you get a lure snag in deeper water this device would be useless. I got some longer line from the hardware store and re-strung it. I’m anxious to try it on a lure snag.
