Seemingly Superior to Uncle Mike's QD Swivels
The build quality of this Talon product is superior to that of the Uncle Mike's QD version. This product does not have a screw-lock mechanism like the Uncle Mike's QD product, but I wouldn't let that fact dissuade you. The Talon lock up seems so strong and so solid that any screw feature would just be superfluous, maybe even gimmicky. It should be noted that this product is a good deal more expensive than the Uncle Mike's QD version that I am comparing it to. If you have to mount a sling with swivels like this, I would go with a product like this. I can't vouch for long term durability, but these feel robust. Hope this review can assist someone struggling to decide like I was. Good Luck!

Well made, but...
Seem to be very well made. However, they are made in China, if that matters to you. A Google search seems to indicate that these are made in the USA. Regardless, should be a great pair of sling swivels

Strong, silent and quick release sling swivel
I needed a sling swivel for a 20-gauge Remington Express Jr. Compact with an 18.75" barrel. A barrel/magazine tube clamp with a sling swivel stud came with the Remington magazine extension kit I installed. I also purchased a Tech Ten Tactical Swinger Sling Mount that fits a SOPMOD butt stock. I really recommend Tech Ten Tactical's product line (the owner is a retired Master-At-Arms for USN Seals). The combination of the Talon stainless steel sling swivel on the front and the Swinger Sling Mount allows easy shouldering to either side without causing the sling to become twisted. I chose the Talon due to its (relatively) quick-release feature that only requires the spring-loaded pin to be depressed and the body rotated to remove it from the swivel stud. The swivel makes no noise when it moves. It appears to be well constructed and as strong as the swivel stud it's attached to. The only thing I'm unsure of is whether it's made in the USA (as seen on the front of the package) or in China (as seen on the rear of the package). I think this combination is going to work fairly well for me. As an aside, I also mounted a CDM Gear barrel clamp that came with one 3-slot Picatinny rail that attaches to either side of the clamp. The opposite side of the clamp has a QD cup integral to the clamp itself. Since no company makes a lighted forearm like Surefire or Streamlight does for a 12-gauge Rem 870, I'll be adding an extra 3-slot rail from CDM Gear so a switch can be mounted on the left side of the barrel and a light mounted on the right side. I've put more thought and planning into this part of the project than I meant to, but I believe this combination is going to work fairly well. It's much more of a challenge finding parts for a 20-gauge versus a 12-gauge in case you haven't noticed. Maybe more manufacturers will step up their game as 20-gauge would seem to be preferred for those who are recoil sensitive, etc. Good luck with your project!

Fits Savage Hog Hunter & Butler Creek Alaskan Magnum Rifle Sling
High quality and durable. Takes 10 seconds to remove my sling from the rifle. Push the spring-loaded pin and turn with ease. I'd give these 4.5 stars if I could because I like how durable they feel and how easy they are to use. My only gripe is that I heard minor squeaking while hunting. The best thing about these is that they are made of steel, which is also the one bad thing. If you need complete silence then I'd suggest something else, but if you don't mind the occasional squeak then get these for sure.

These are truly of quality and tough as they get
FINALLY SLING SWIVELS A GUY CAN TRUST. These Talon swivels are truly TOUGH. I had purchased those swivels that claim to hold 350+lbs, Well i had 2 sets of them, one rifle a $1200 Henry .44 mag ate the dirt when the "350+ lbs strong" one broke while just on my shoulder. Thought well maybe it was a fluke. Then the same ones on my other Henry, the $1000 45-70 also broke! Luckily that one did not hit the ground, because it broke while just being picked up! THESE TALON SWIVELS I CAN SEE LASTING A LIFETIME, AS SOON AS YA HOLD THEM YOU KNOW THEY ARE QUALITY.

Good fit solid construction
I order these and a few others and these are my favorite of them all. I like them so much I ordered a second set for my other rifle as well. I have these on a Remington 7600 and a Remington 760 Carbine with Uncle Mikes barrel band mounts and they fit great. I am using these with hand made leather slings a guy from Michigan sells on eBay and it looks and works great.

Best Sling Swivels
These are great. Very good quality and the simple push button spring locking mechanism is great. They are also very sturdy and durable. They are very easy to attach and remove. I've been using them for months and have not have any problems, they remain very secure when attached. I think they are very superior to other versions which use a screw locking mechanism such the Uncle Mikes and Blackhawk types.

Have had different swivels over the years and these blow them out of the water. Very solid, strong and reliable. Actually feel comfortable going over rough ground and fences without holding. Cannot recommend enough. Have purchased more for other people they are that good
