Fast MidRange CPU
needed a processor for a quick and dirty bulid for the wife, couldn't complain to get this for under 70 bucks on sale. havnet used the onboard video, had a spare card laying around, figure even though its not a half bad GPU and I got decently fast system memory I wouldn't want it using it up. Installed no problem booted no problem but I do fancy my self not an idiot too. saw reports of them running hot, I stress tested it for 2 weeks while I was waiting for more parts to come in and on a stock cooler it never broke 50C but at the same time it was all synthetic tests out side of a case with the stock cooler. now its in a tiny case with a sealed water cooler I had laying around and seems to be doing ok still. no real load has been put on it since the system setup arrived at: AMD A8-6600K MSI A78M-E45 Sapphire VaporX 5770 Crucial M500 240GB 8Gb G.Skill sniper 2133 (2x4gb) OCZ StealXStream 600W BitFenix Prodigy M Corsair H50 CPU cooler w/ Push Pull dual 120mm Silverstone Golfball fans some parts were spares laying around (H50, 5770, 600W PSU) so they helped edge the cost. its just for the wife and her college classes, needed something with a super fast boot and load time incase there was a super late home work assignment or other project emergency. press power button BAM its on and there. Its probably overkill, would probably play games at a decent rate but its all for fast boot and load times. she does boring things like that

(Overly long CPU name) Review
This CPU works perfectly for my rig. I came from a dual core CPU that I managed to burn a core out on, and I am a huge gamer, so this processor was a huge improvement. This processor handles every game well, and there is little to no lag with the games I play. It works great with my EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC graphics card. I love this processor and it was worth every penny. The heatsink that comes with it is a bit small for what I use, so I swapped it out with the Corsair heatsink that I had on my other CPU and that seems like it has done wonders for my computer's temperature. Overall, this is a fantastic processor for any mid-range gaming PC.

WOW
Okay so first its an awesome processor. Both a GPU & CPU baked together is a dream come true. It can play games like Skyrim on high settings. Of coarse it can play Minecraft and lots of games. It may not play games like BF3 on Ultra settings but it can play on mid settings and still tolerable. Just note to go to the AMD website to download the Catalyst program for all the latest drivers so you can use the APU's graphics because right out of the box the drivers will be out of date and won't be able to play ANY games. This is a great processor for entry level pc gamers. The price is awesome too.

ITEM WAS BROKEN, THE BOX WAS BROKEN BEFORE WAS PACKED AND SEALED
I really angry because this processor was opened , the seal of the box was broken. It was put into the box opened and was damaged. I can not return the item because i am from Venezuela, and the cost is too expensive to me send it back. I am really disapoint. I can not make my new computer because someone opened my processor and damage it. Later they put into the big packing and sealed it. I think never buy this kind of item from the seller again.

Honest review with great info for system builders
A really awesome unlocked APU, although the graphics core leaves a lot to be desired for any gaming application at all. I chose this socket for my build because of the ample amount of great and discounted motherboards (like MSI A88Xm) that are available. The A8-6600K is able to OC to 4.5Ghz with no problems and run stable, so if that's your thing than this chip will be your dream chip. I'm running it right now with some high quality components and this APU really keeps up and in no way bottle necks my system. I'm able to run a Plex media server, run all my background programs, and play Far Cry 3 on ultra settings with no system problems. Yes all the components in your system will have huge impacts on what you can do with this APU, but let it be known that this little guy has some big potential. My System Specs: AMD A8-6600K @ 4.5Ghz, XFX R9 270X, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4GB @ 2400Mhz, MSI A88Xm motherboard, Corsair H100i cooler w/3 additional system fans, Corsair CX750m PSU, BitFenix Prodigy M Case, PNY 240GB SSD (WIN 7), and a WD 2TB HDD

Built a replacement computer for Wife's office.
Semi-older ASUS Duo core MOB finally started not even reaching BIOS. Old MOB depended on GPU. So, I looked into replacing MOB, CPU, RAM, and of course ANOTHER OEM WIN 7 64bit OS! All other components were top notch. Ended up costing just at $300. Everything works great. I ended up installing my GPU after testing the CPU without GPU. Not because it needed it, but because mine was just laying around doing nothing. You don't need a GPU with this processor, to place most games. The more graphics intensive ones, will just need to be "dumbed down" a bit, perhaps antialiasing, resolution, and whatever. Look, there are very few, if any, games that need 2 GPUs or super special hardware setups. Some will benefit greatly from this, but, not everyone has the latest Alienware PC, and big gaming companies won't turn a profit if their games won't even play on the average GPU style setup. Yes, it is possible to use JUST this Processor, and actually enjoy a decent gaming experience, besides the normal business, photo, music, video software usage.

It works...
No issues, but I was expecting more kick, I see almost no difference between this and my old Phenom X4 @ 3.2 I bought a higher-end board to match and used the same ram, ssd, gfx as my previous build, just not seeing huge performance increase. Not using the integrated video, sticking with my older, yet beefier & faster nvidia card. Stock heatsink is fail, so go find a nice one to add to your order.
