Works well for pure polish/wax
I have not used this for a cutting compound, but have used this to polish and wax my car. Works well. Like many other pads, it really needs to be washed in between uses to try to get as much of the compound out from the sponge before next use. However, the company doesn't recommend it. They recommend just pressing out the compound and letting it dry afterwards.I don't see any problems with washing it by hand in laundry soap, then spun dry in the dryer, which is what i have done many times. It does need to be thoroughly dried since my other 5" DA pads are a bit moldy.This pack comes with 24 pads so it will last me a long time. I have given a few to my friends since 24 is just too much. You will need about 4-6 in any given day, depending on how many polishes/waxes you use.

Best foam application pads
Another great product from Meguiar's. These work so much better that the microfiber pads! The best thing is you can use them for all your detailing needs: tires, dash, door panels, engine compartment cleaning and waxing.
