Colorist's Special Effects 3: More step-by-step guides & fun, coloring tricks & techniques

If you want your colourings to really come alive and pop out of the page then this is the book you need. If you enjoyed the previous two books in this series you really won't be disappointed with this latest addition. Once again this is packed full of wonderful hints and techniques to take your colouring to another level. My son who is a budding young artist is also finding the techniques just as helpful for colouring in his own pictures. We are both delighted!

I have all three books of Helen's and have learnt so much from each and everyone . They are easy to follow and the practice pages are so helpful . Would recommend for beginners and more experienced colourists .

This book has really easy to follow tutorials which produce stunning results. I found the tutorials so easy to remember as well, that after a few goes at them, I could reproduce the results without having to refer to the books, which means that it easy to incorporate them into my work. Many reference Prismacolor pencils but I found it easy to use other brands and get the same results.

These books are really good for adding that extra professionalism to the quality of your colouring. I've tried out a few of the tutorials and it really does make a difference. Very impressed

I have books1 and 2 by this author . I wanted to enhance my colouring and take it to the next level. and wanted to further my skills. I am slightly disappointed as this book does not seem as easy to understand the way it is written and does not have clear design pics so not as easy to pick up.I have purchased another book similar to this one by a different author, and find it is much clearer. I will of course wait until i have also purchased the next level to see if it stays in the same clear format. At the moment i will not continue to purchase by this author altho very helpful it may be ok for some.

Good for artists that want to learn more techniques.

Learning colouring techniques.

I Actually first bought the first volume for my Mother and myself since she had always loved to color but never really know how (she always said that she was at the most possible basic level ever, lol!). So I bought it and gave it to my mother on Christmas 2020. This was, without exageration, a life changer for her as she finally understood how to color things! She was so enthusiastic about it that she wondered if there were other volumes, and there were. I therefore ordered for both of us the 2nd and 3rd volume.So, if you like to color but don't exactly know how to do it, these books are an excellent start since the author demonstrates how to color different subjects, step by step (she even gives the Prismacolor numbers as additionnal help).I would DEFINITELY recommend this to all beginners who just want to improve themselves (and who would eventualy like to open their artistic horizon)!!!!! :) :) :)

Wie die beiden ersten Bände: einfach super Anleitung auch wenn man kein Englischgenie ist! Ich liebe diese Bücher, mich haben sie echt weiter gebracht!

Ce livre d'exercices en anglais mais très abordable car les pas à pas sont bien faits car tout est en dessin.Il est plus consacré au placement des ombres sur les objets et autres.Il est à recommander pour les personnes qui aiment apprendre et se perfectionner dans la manière de coloriser un dessin.Les pages sont épaisses et on peut très facilement suivre les explications.
