arrived intact, no broken pieces. I mainly use this to mark concrete and various other surfaces for preparation. Works well on plaster, sheetrock, and wood too. Would work as intended on a chalkboard. Hold the piece close to the working tip, it's brittle and will fragment under pressure if not held correctly.

I seen some negative reviews as far as the chalk being broken upon delivery. Mine also had a few broken pieces when I recieved it but it doesnt bother me because i expect it. Its chalk and its very fragile. I used to be a teacher and sometimes just setting he chalk down on the base of the chalkboard it would break. So going between multiple states and carriers why wouldn't I expect it to have. a few broken pieces. It didnt affect the use of it. I still was able to use all the pieces. Seems like good enough quality for what I was looking for. I just wanted it to write down my meals on my menu chalkboard as well as items needed or reminders on my small blank kitchen chalkboard. If your looking for chalk that is vibrant in color then this is not it. The color is just like all other chalk, that I have personally used. Its light, like a pastel and it's very "dusty". But again, everybkimd of chalk I've ever used has been the same. Their may be a kind out there that is more vibrant and not so dusty but I just uavrnt used it. Overall I think this is a good deal! I didnt see anything else, at hr time, that was this good of a price fot 2 packs, 1 white and 1 color. If and when I need more I would definitely buy this again. The shipping was also fast!

I was really hoping for good-quality chalk, but this product was a letdown. Most of the chalk sticks arrived broken right out of the box, and the ones that weren’t broken don’t write on the chalkboard properly—they skip, crumble, and barely produce any colour. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this product and won’t be buying it again.
