Power Grip Bolt Cutter, 39-124, 24 Inches

This piece of equipment is fantastic. I love that it folds down/collapses, and can be tucked away into a tool bag nicely. I was trying to cut some metal rods for some Ikea cellular shades and nothing was working for me, when a hardware store employee suggested I get these. They cut really well and I really like that they're not too heavy. Plus, made in America!

Nice bolt cutters. I read some reviews on chipping etc. If you stay within the parameters and not try to cut something massive I don't see there being an issue.

These are not precision machined. They work well if you need the small profile. However, if you need cutters for routine use, you may want to look elsewhere. The first pair that I got had an issue with the handles being offset, as they drilled the hole in the wrong spot. This caused the cutters to fold unevenly, with one handle hitting the head on the metal part of the handle, and the other on the plastic part. Also, the jaws closed with the back part of the jaws touching before the first, leaving a 2mm or so gap in front. I returned those and got a replacement. The replacement is much better. The handles close properly and evenly on each side, and the jaws close much better, almost parallel. There is a bit of play on the handle joints, and the head, but it works fine for cutting 1/8 or larger bolts. The product tag is wrapped around one of the red levers, and if you do not pay attention, some of the plastic wire that connects the tab could get stuck in the joint/spring, making the latch malfunction until it is removed. I saw this complaint of the latch not working in some other reviews, and I suspect this is the case.

Defective right out of the box, very poorly made.

I learned after buying these bolt cutters that strength in cutting off old padlocks, from equally made bolt cutters, will go to the larger pair of bolt cutters. This 18" Olympia bolt cutters being reviewed is good for its small size. But I have learned from experience that larger bolt cutters cut through the shackle on old pad locks with much less effort. With these 18" bolt cutters, you really have to put some serious arm muscle into your cuts. Oh well, this was one of those "learn by doing" experiences for me that we all experience in life. D.W.

La pieza cumple su función, es portable, sin embargo los acabados no son los mejores, tiene partes que se bailan mucho, pero ya desplegada y a la hora de cortar, no tiene fallas, pude cortar un candado mediano sin problemas. Para el precio está bastante bien, el único problema es el acabado pero en cuanto a funcionalidad todo bien.

Essa tecnologia de dobrar os cabos para reduzir espaço é sensacional! Torna prático o transporte em mochilas e maletas de ferramentas. Fiz alguns cortes em vergalhões e o fio de corte é "bruto". Não percebi qualquer deformação no fio de corte até o momento. O sistema de dobra dos cabos é seguro e tem uma folga mínima. Produto testado e aprovado!

Received it broken out of the box, there is clearly major quality control issues with the manufacturing process as there are two huge bubbles in the casting. Definitely would not recommend this product!

Used the gear the same day it arrived. Snapped a number of hardened metal threads. Not even a mark!! That shows its a quality product.
