Great stuff
This stuff is really cool. Bought it to make my own healthy jello. You just add the powder to boiling water and it will set in the fridge. I add fresh fruits to mine. You can also add those crystal light packets for more flavor. Much cheaper and healthier than buying real jello.

Worked well in vegan cheese recipe
I gave up dairy to go whole food plant based. I really missed cheese! I use this in a vegan mozzarella cheese and it turns out really well. I had never used agar agar before, but I certainly have no complaints about this product!

Fast setting and easy to use!
Fast and easy to use! Used this powder to make layered jellos and they set faster (~15mins) than “regular” JellO. If you’re an impatient chef like me it’s perfect! Consistency is a little more dense than jello but not noticeable if you weren’t looking for it.

Very good agar but
This agar comes as a fine powder and is very good if used correctly. It's very 'strong' but because of that has a low solubility. It's not a problem if you are making a gel with low concentration of agar however for meringue type of processes (zefir) which requires a high agar concentration, a correct approach is very important or you will fail. I estimate that highest concentration of this agar that can be achieved in hot water is about 1.5% (that is about 150 ml of water per 1 g of the agar). Sugar and Light Corn Syrup increase agar solubility without significant effect on its setting. Most of sugar replacements also increase solubility but interfere with hydrogen bond formation so your agar will likely not to set at all. DO NOT DUMP ALL AGAR IN WATER AT ONCE! It may lead to a clump which will be very difficult to dissolve. Bring water to a boil and start adding agar by very small portions with constant stirring. When almost all agar is in water, you can add light corn syrup or sugar. I was able to dissolve 4.4 g of the agar in 150 ml of water with sugar, and further evaporate the syrup to a desired concentration. This agar is so 'strong' that I had to reduce its amout by 20%. I also tested Thai agar (Telephone), and it now has a very similar properties though in the past had a much higher solubility.

Excellent quality
The first time I bought a small sample pack to try, this time it's a big one, so I use agar agar a lot. Excellent quality.

Affordable and great for vegan jelly
Love it! Affordable and I don’t need a lot! Yay! I make a lot of zero calorie vegan jello. Recipe: 4 cups water, 1 tbsp agar agar powder and 6 squeeze zero calorie drink mix flavor, like Mio flavorings. Yum!

Not that much of a fan
I don't think it is just this brand, but just agar agar generally.I used to like the fact it was a vegetarian option to gelatin but just cannot make it work very effectively.Gelatin is just easier to work with and produces better results, will be going back to using it.

This is great agar!
This agar held up very firm but not hard. The picture shows the agar made with raspberries and mango in a dish of fruit salad.
