Hosa CBT-500 Audio Cable Tester

I've bought a lot of cable testers like this one over the years but this is the best. Tests about any cable you would have on location. Built like a rock. Have 2 I like them so much. Use it in the field and studio to test all cables before we run them. Never leave for a gig without it.

I'm not sure if I was sent an open box, of b stock but the battery compartment won't stay locked in place. I used some gaff tape to do the job, but it was still a bummer. Other than that it's great. Works as it should.

This tool is fantastic to have around. It works well, but I had to put some tape over the LEDs so they weren't so blinding. Easy fix. I've used this a lot and it's holding up great. Made of good, solid metal.

This is a must have for all into audio.Super easy to use and built well.When you spend thousands on gear why not check the weakest links (cables) before you plug them into expensive equipment.

It may not be the heaviest duty, but it's solid, the price is amazing and it's working. Now an important part of my tool kit.

I read the reviews and saw some people mention an issue with the battery holder. It appears as though they may have fixed that issue as a large spring is holding the battery in place inside the holder.As far as testing, this works very well. Individual pin tests for all connection types and separate leads for continuity so I don't need to take out one of my other meters. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.
