The Venco Jubes are just right for those who are used to American pretend licorice (anise and sugar), as the residual chlorides (salty licorice) are low. Americans like this licorice. Wish it was harder, but ... beggars can't be CHEWers. (pun warning)

Fantastic salted licorice. I got hooked on it when I was in the Netherlands I couldn't find anything like it locally but was delighted to find that I could get the exact item in the US via Amazon.

This used to be the best salty licorice I ever had. Now it is the worst. It is no longer salty at all, and even the texture has changed. It now tastes like someone compressed ordinary sweet licorice whips into these small licorice drops. I will throw these packages into the garbage as soon as I receive a decent substitute for the old recipe.

Something changed in the past year, they are not the same taste - the level of "salty" is not the same, it's more sweet now. I have ordered this exact type/recipe for years and find myself craving that specific flavor that I've been used to, and it's just not there. The texture is still perfect. I don't like the double salt, that's just too intensely salty. Please go back to the original recipe.
